As you get older, you realize how much time is worth. Most ppl are out of commission by age 70 or so. So once you're like 45 or 50 years old, you start thinking the finish line isnt far away so you have a different way of thinking. So if these guys are pushing 60 or older, he might think he doesn't have much time left to check off whatever is left on his bucket list. I'm just turning 43 and am now starting to think this way a little bit. I'm seeing the second half of life then its game over. As a 20 year old you think the end is so far you don't even let it run across your mind

Macaws are very social birds and can have a negative reaction if their social environment changes. Ruby has spent years in that shop and that is what the bird is use to. I’ve seen macaws that have picked almost every single feather out of their own body because their environment was drastically changed. They live up to 80 years and depend upon interactions for their happiness. Ruby is best left there with people that love him and and environment that he knows

I worked in boatyards in Florida and got to know a lot of live aboard sailors, Some with their family and animals, some were second and third generation sailors. Most have been around the world several times. You will not regret it. Good Luck Adrian, You are a Good Man

Let us see what you do! Good read for sailing around. Blue Water Vagabond...Please read... Dennis led a pretty incredible life, designed the "duck" for WWII landings I the Invasion. He sailed most of the way, and did the final part of the journey on train through Manchuria just ahead of the Japanese. Read the book! We'll miss you.

Dang, that almost seemed like a memorial, but then they say you must mourn a divorce like a death, so I guess that makes some sense. He's not crossing until April, but leaving now?
