I honestly don’t feel like he’s asking for too much. Looking at the entire picture. They’ve been friends for 20 years. In a relationship for 5. She keeps making high-end purchases that only seem to benefit her, yet she wants to be married, so factor in the cost for a wedding. It’s not cheap and she’ll probably want something high-end going off of everything presented in the episode. They were also saving for a surrogacy, to which he stated was $45,000 on the low end...which is still a lot of money. He asked her to be more ambitious, which isn’t a bad thing. It means he wants to build with her and he’s encouraging her to be better. More sex...she kicked him out of the bed for the $15000 dog she bought that she could’ve used to help her daughter in college (which he stated about the money she spent on that purse). She keeps saying he’s leaving things out, but clearly it’s her. He’s already been through one marriage. He’s not marrying to get divorced. She needs to get herself together and stop spending impulsively.
