Absolute game changer band for me. Got smacked with The Dregs, King Crimson, Beck (Blow by Blow) and FZ in the 8th grade (1983) and everything changed. Not that I quit digging The AB's, Skynyrd, AC/DC, Zeppelin yada, but just understood the difference in next level musicianship. And it is next level musicianship. For the record and a little added musical evolution context, I also saw The Dead for the first time in 83' and was touring with them by 85' until the end in 95' Finished with about 220 GD shows and probably 40 JGB shows. Miss em man

listened to this stuff back in college back in the seventies. It's still good today. Good music has no age.

I'd like to play this at my funeral. "Come on, son, go home and get some practice. Seriously. It may not be your time just yet after all," would Saint Peter say. "We're not having you here until you nail it." "Lord, my playing stinks, for I have been dead four days." "Take up your guitar and walk."

"Night Meets Light" also would be a good choice.

Interested to know what Genesis song you think Steve borrowed or was inspired by in writing Ice Cakes. I’m very familiar with each’s full catalogue.
