Yes you can use them.

@@teanrizt3655 it is bi polar motor with 4 wires. You can use a 6 wire motor in which you need to eliminate two wires.

The PVC pipe is quarter inch...The length of the pipe depends on the length of the rods....And once you built your frame then you can cut the board according to the dimensions you are using....If you find any problem then comment....and I'll help you out 😊

Do we really need the heatbed or could we just use the wood instead of the heatbed?

If you are printing PLA then no heatbed is required. You can only use brim and increase the surface area for smaller parts. If you are printing bigger parts then brim too is not required.... Yes you can use them, but you have to change a line in code, it's simple. Go to cofig.h the scroll to the bottom and then comment the line " reprap smart discount lcd controller " And uncomment the line " 2004 lcd control " And it will work. And don't forget to subscribe 🙂🙂🙂🙂

No problem...Just go to config.h in marlin...and from bottom, uncomment your LCD type. You might be using either LCD 12864 ( Big screen ) or LCD 2004 ( Small screen ) This will solve your problem... Don't forget to subscribe..:-)

For setting offset....just go to config.h and there is offset menu and you can customise yourself. And one more thing, since you are using marlin firmware then everything will be operated from config.h menu. So try to explore it...😊😊

The wood frame was made out of two 30 cm wood piece and three 20 cm wood piece. Once you make the frame for heat bed and attach the linear bearing, then you get the idea of where to attach the y axis rods. The 8 mm rods I have used are of 500 mm length and I have used 6 of them.

Amazon sells a kit with aluminum 2020 profile rails that are cut to those measurements of the pvc.

For aluminium profile....you need to purchase v slot wheels for it. Then our smooth rods and linear bearings will be eliminated from the printer.

You are awesome bro... I tried to build my own 3d printer... after load the file the stepper doesn't rotate what may the problem bro

1) If your motor doesn't have a detachable connector of 4 wires, Then your stepper motor must be having 6 wires, And if so, them eliminate the black and white wires and use the other four. 2) Now check the circuit of the motor using a circuit tester or multimeter. There are two coils of wire in the motor. 3) Then connect the motor in the 4 pins in 2B2A 1A1B , where 2 And 1 are same coils number. 4) Now check the above method, and reverse the wire if that doesn't work. This will solve your problem 5) check the orientation of your motor drivers

It depends on which bolt you have. If you have M3 then order M3 or else go for M4 And if you don't have bolt then go for M3

Hi Some tips! The pipe is a very bad choice because it's not at all rigid. You can use pc power supply smps and save money.

Yes the pipe is not good at all....But it is the cheapest and simplest way to make the frame.....I have used aluminium extrusion in my later versions...🙂

@@MechNinja crazy!!! I really appreciate it. You can Infact try to fill the pipes with concrete and experiment how it works out maybe... I made my printer with steel square tubing it came out like a tank.. But due to customization issues I'm going back to the extrusions.. The extrusion will cost 2k in my case.. Its definitely worth it

@@Falcon_X1 those are connectors which comes with ramps 1.4. It is used to reduce the steps of motor. You have to connect them as shown

Since you are making a DIY 3D printer hence length is not fixed. You have to make a loop of belt and then cut the size accordingly. 2 meter is enough for a single printer

The dimensions depends on the smooth rods. I have used smooth rods of 8mm dia ,6 rods of 500 mm length and then you can cut the pvc pipe according to it.
