Wow. I first saw your starting out vids 5 years ago when you were experimenting in your backyard in New Jersey. I had largely forgotten about aircrete and I just stumbled across your recent vids by chance. I'm totally blown away by how much you've accomplished over the last few years and how much you've personally contributed to the realm of DIY aircrete & now EPS aircrete. Incredible. Much respect. I've just subscribed to the channel, and now I'm dreaming up projects of my own. Thanks for sharing all this hard won info with us! :)

Applying pressure to aircrete is bound to reduce to bubble size in the foam. That may lead to the collapse of foam back to soap water/ cement mixture. Guess to avoid that the barrel needs to be as close to the dome as possible to reduce hose length and lifted as high as possible to dome height. That way one needs minimal air pressure to move the aircrete thus reducing the collapse of bubbles in the foam mixture. And special thanks to Harry for this gift to the world!
@AircreteHarry3 жыл бұрын
Because of my ingredients I add to my Aircrete I get very little to no collapsing and can pour more than 5 feet at a time. ( future video to come on maximum height I can pour) I do start with 5psi check out next video click on CC to read what I say. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWnVp4yunaiep8U

Thanks for sharing AircreteHarry! This is a really practically useful DIY tool for the home and garage/workshop builder! It offers the "Wow! This really is possible!" experience. I agree with other commenters that adding a relief valve to the inlet is desirable - especially since not everything will be completely pumped out each time - so there is the possibility of remaining hardened pieces dislodging from the walls in the future - and causing a partial blockage. Perhaps you have a post-use cleaning process that we haven't heard yet? Or maybe these are really just one-time use barrels because they are readily available?

Why not mix aircrete in the same 55 gallon barrel you pump from and have a removable sealable lid with an air connector and a down tube that reached the bottom so you wouldn’t have to flip it over to pump all the contents out? Just saying good start but missing a part .

I thought of a way to make it truly safe. I would put a diaphragm on the inside and inflate that. Imagine a ballon. Something like an industrial strength garbage bag or weather balloon would work. Then in the event of over-pressure, the only thing that would pop is the bag/ballon on the inside of the tank. Easy peasy and super safe.

@@AircreteHarry I do think it can be made safe. For the very minimum, it should have a 20psi (or whatever) relief valve - cheap and could save a life. I think it would be best buried in something too - like maybe a bigger tank and fill the space in with water or sand or something.
