DIY Airstream Brake Change and Tire Replacement

Just want to thank you for making this video, it got me out of a jamb while in Nashville. I had to remove a piece of bolt head from part of the break internals that had come loose within my brakes that was was banging around and rubbing itself out existence. I was able to remove it and verify that I can now move on and replace the entire break assembly when I get back to my home base.

Your experience at Discount Tire was similar to mine. Like you, I showed the two tire changers the Jack Points and because it was cold I sat in the truck and watched in the mirror. They rolled out the jacks, put them under the jack points, and started jacking, then they quit and went into the store. After 15 minutes I got a call from the manager telling me that their jacks didn’t go that high and did I want them to jack under the axle. I carry a 6X 8 block of wood to put on my jack to reach the frame, so I had them use that.

A block of wood probably would have done it cuz they were able to get one tire off the ground using the regular jack. I offered to use the Andersen rapid jack to make things easier for them, but they opted to use the air-jack. Would have been quicker to use the Andersen and do them one at a time, but they got the job done. ~D

Non need for dread; just make sure they know where they're supposed to put the jacks! ~D

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. For them from etrailer.com I tried to get the drums from Amazon but they messed it up 3 times so it all came from etrailer.
