DIY Arduino Nano Soldering Station V5. Hello everyone!. I made a new version of the T12 soldering station based on Arduino Nano, a few changes are made to the software, now it shows the PWM power level that the sation applyes to the tip, other chenges I made is that now everything is now smd components, basicaly I transfered all the components of the Arduino Nano and Mini360 to my pcb, unfortunaly I can not put all the components on a single board so I also used two boards on this version as well. The soldering station now can be powerd from a barrel jack connector and USB type C and I also included a mini USB to upload the firmware to the soldering station easily as you normaly do with Arduino, now I decided to use buttons instead of the rotary encoder and lastly I made a beautiful 3D printed case.

Congratulations! I think working with buttons on this little box is inconvenient. It's much better with Encoder. And as you have done it with SMD, the project now looks like that of Stefan Wagner.

Nice work. I respect that self made two layer pcb's, and nano components transfer, instead of using plug in module. Im feeling it, because I just finished my own jbc station on sunday, and as I suspected it would be so much cheaper and faster just earning the money and buy the fucking thing xD. But anyway.

Yes, of course you can. Actually is even better the MCP602 is rail to rail and it will provide more stable and accurate temperature measurement.

What about the sleep mode(fixed or adjustable) & temperature calibration?
@HMProjects
@HMProjects 3 ай бұрын
The sleep mode is adjustable from 1 to 30 min. and the calibration is done in 3 steps by adjusting the difference between temp. measured by the station and the real temp. which you have to measure it with a multimeter or a dedicated thermometer.

What is your thinking if I decide to put a second Female Aviator socket for a second heat handler let say, a 2 Pole commute switch to activate "Line 1" or "Line2" Do you think I may damage it, I am working on a Dual soldering station, but I get lost to figure it out how make it digital, or automatically identification of the tip when is turned on.
@HMProjects
@HMProjects Жыл бұрын
By selecting one on the time it should work ( assuming that everything is wired correctly ) but if you put two tips in parallel at the same time it may damage it or it it not work correctly because you changing the heater resistance and the thermocouple resistance. The best way in my opinion is to make two of this soldering stations or the through hole version ( V4) and put both of them into a nice case, in this way you will have two displays, two independent control of the tips, one it can be in standby while working with the other one, you can set the temperature independently for each tip and so on. 😉

@@HMProjects Thank you for early reply, I don't know why KZbin does not inform me replies when I have to get them. So Mechanically it won't have a problem if I switch and wire correctly. I am thinking commuting the 4 wires from one GX4 to another GX4 aviator connector. Fancier the way you share two independent system one Power supply with double output is a big form factor because of the PSU. I will see it what it is better. There's a way I fallow you in some social network? I would like to share pictures about the station based on yours version. Have a great one.
