Thank you for teaching the technique. I like how your channel has many shorter videos that build skills and make progressively more advanced projects by watching additional videos. Very smart. If others ask or want to "try this" then they should do a video themselves.

you put the thin set on the outside but water sits on the inside so do you thinset the inside? Maybe I missed that. Great project thanks!

Can u use sand instead of perlite
@rachel9644 Жыл бұрын
If im not wrong u can see a slight tint of blue in the finished bird bath. Did u paint it? And if not can u paint it? With what paint exactly. Im looking for some good non toxic paints to paint my bird bath turquoise color.

Thats so smart I was looking for a light wieght cement too use. sand is too heavy. Im going too try paper crete. And I did not know they sold pearl lite. 🤗😁

This is pretty cool. I wonder if we can make a mini patio pond out of papercrete as a little water feature? That would be so awesome! 😄
@charsnest1472 жыл бұрын
Yes, that would be awesome!

Would you be able to mosaic this?
@charsnest1472 жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe so. I would seal the mosaic once grouted.

Can you substitute Crushed Oyster Shells for Perlite?
@charsnest14710 ай бұрын
I would love to try it!
@LindaBB-k7n8 ай бұрын
Oooooo good idea. It would be like concrete...they add aggregate to make concrete.. It's heavier. Purpose for pearlite is to make lighter. I bet it would be beautiful texture with crushed shell.

Instead of coating the pieces with thin set, isn't there a cement sealer that could be painted on?
@beverlywalker82153 жыл бұрын
About any clear concrete or wood sealer will work.

I have better idea in which you don't need to use cement. But an organic binder which will save the environment. 👍
