Cool video for sure but the big deal for me is actually seeing a glimmer of hope as to where to find the mythical PVC board, I'm not lying I've searched high and low all over the internet, gone into reptile shops and talked to breeders and nobody wants to tell me where to get PVC board. What is it with this stuff, why are people so secretive with it, it's just PVC. Hopefully I can get some from the website on the board you are using, the only companies I've found online won't even answer my emails and there is no buy it now button, very ridiculous. Thank you for posting this I really appreciate it.

Lol, mythical is a great way of putting it. But yes, it is hard to find.

I really enjoy your videos! What would be the final $$ in building a 72x23x18 pvc enclosure including the glass doors?
@sghpest4 жыл бұрын
Depending on your PVC purchase price, but let's say average $. 2 sheets PVC- $85/ea = $170 Tempered Glass- 2 panels= $70 (Lexan Polycarbonate would be less, $55) Drop down Door Hinges: $20 Glass Channel: $25 So, as you can see, many options but anywhere from $245 and up depending on your local pricing and availability.

Hi may I ask you a question can you put a flex watt heat tape in the bottom of the PVC enclosure by cutting a square hole for the by placing a tile on top of the flex watt to hold it in thank you so much for your time
@sghpest5 жыл бұрын
I have seen people use that method but they used tempered glass instead of tile. You would have to seal either one to prevent urine or spilled water from causing mold under enclosure Personally, I'm not a big fan of heat tape. Seems you could avoid all the hassle by using a heat panel instead, it's a little more costly but comes with lifetime warranty. Not to mention a better heat gradient.
@tonyjohns22045 жыл бұрын

I watched part 1&2 on this build series. I have a question for you. If you we’re going to make the doors sliding doors what are the measurements for the door glass for size cage you are building? Also is there a top and bottom track to hold the glass in. How’s about a video covered that part of building the cage. The first to videos were spot on so why not.😁

Hi there! Thank you so much for this video!! I love this design :) I’ve been having a little trouble finding out what kind of PVC to use :) is it ok if it is the “PVC FOAM BOARD” stuff?
@sghpest5 жыл бұрын
Hey Treena, I've actually looked into that and feel that it wouldnt be durable enough. You want to find "high density" board. Especially if you are stacking. It took me quite a while to find it so don't give up. 😁
@treenagarner50185 жыл бұрын
MostlySnakes hey thank you so much! I will be stacking but I will actually be making smaller cages for the most part, the biggest snakes I have are a Colombian Boa and a Blood Python, the majority of what I have is Ball Pythons lol! I just wondered about the PVC foam board because it looks like they make cabinets and drawers and stuff out of it. 🤷🏼♀️ I really appreciate your feedback!! I will keep looking!! ;)
@sghpest5 жыл бұрын
@@treenagarner5018 is the board a 1/2" thick? If you are doing smaller enclosures, it may work. I'm used to retic questions so sorry I didn't take that into account. Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions. 😁
