Made 2 cage liners and 4 smaller pads. I used anti-pill fleece that was on sale; with a coupon it cost $3.00 a yard (usually sells for $10.99). For the absorbent middle I used adult bed pads (already had them). I found your video as a result of an internet search for cage liners. A link popped up for ready made and nearly died to see the cheapest was $35. Even if I didn't have a sewing machine, I'd use a running stitch to sandwich and hold it together in order to save that kind of money. I can see that this will be healthier and more comfortable for my girls and thank you very much for the video and saving me a boat load of money.

Just wanted to say thank you for showing how you sewed the two bits of fleece together! I'm going to be making my first ever fleece liner soon, but the fleece I've ordered doesn't come in pieces big enough so I'll have to stitch two pieces together. I was worried about how I was going to do that, but this video will definitely come in handy! I don't have a sewing machine sadly, so I'll be doing it all by hand - wish me luck 😅

Do you sell these? I know it's none of my business but I really think that you could make a lot of money off of making these and selling these. They look really easy to do but for people like me with next to no spare time, or skill with a sewing machine, you should definitely consider selling these:) P.S. Is Lyra starting to come out of her shell a little bit?

Do your piggies burrow underneath these? I have fleece liners I made that goes up the sides and clipped down over the edge. I tried towels underneath, but I went back to using paper bedding and kitchen roll, which seems to be more absorbent. But messy! I think the pads might be easier, but my husband thinks they would burrow around the edges... As I am the cleaner of the cage, I'm thinking your pads might be easier!

Fantastic, thanks for the detailed video and instructions. As I had them only for a few weeks, I haven't made anything special, just use pieces of painters fleece, the waterproof one. The only problem is that my piggies are getting under them, using them as covers :)) They are still messing up the plastic cage underneath. Also painters fleece can be washed only a couple of times before it gets unglued from is backing.
