In this video, I handcraft a unique carving knife using a leftover piece of Damascus steel for the blade and my favorite wood, Purpleheart, for the handle. While not every step was filmed (sometimes the craft takes over!), you'll see the key parts of the process. To finish, I designed and built a custom rotating wooden case to protect the blade when it's not in use.
