This kzbin.infoUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo unit was an easy install and turned out amazing. The dimensions were exact! I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for the awesome product just in time for the holidays.

i built in a 60" touchstone electric fireplace 5 years ago, it still runs perfect every single winter night. I would suggest get the biggest one you can. I got a 60 and I wish I would have went to 90"

Hello, this is lovely. Would you please share what type of fireplace insert you purchased and is the concrete something that comes in squares that is purchased at a tile shop? Love the videos and thank you.

Looks great! Could you have used drywall instead of cement board when using the concreate tiles? Also what color is that tile… Natrual Grey?

My sincerest apologies for my delay in commenting guys!! LOL!! Always great to see what you guys are up too. Vey cool project & I agree 100% about not cutting out the carpet underneath. You can pretty much remove the entire fireplace & no one would ever know it was there. Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out!!

New subscriber here, this is beautiful! I'm building a home and want to do this for both of my fireplaces. How many boxes of concrete panels did you need for this fireplace?

Amazing project. Could you tell us which color did you get from concreate? Do you think this project could go together with a gas fireplace?
@PneumaticAddict2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We used "Natural Grey". Yes, you could do something very similar with a gas insert, but you would need to make sure it comes with a fully sealed fire box and you'd likely need to add venting (either direct vent or flue)

Thank you so much for your answer.

WOW Great job! But if you're building a chase all the way to the ceiling, why not install a "real" gas fireplace and have flames and heat too?
@PneumaticAddict2 жыл бұрын
We would LOVE a gas fireplace, but when we've priced them out in this size, they cost about 2X as much.

Not sure I'm feeling the concreate product. Not sure if it's the video lighting or something else, but the concreate simply looks like thin cement board without the ugly manufacturer printing plastered all over. Is it me or is the finish really that basic?

Thanks for video, do/did you all seal the concert panels / seams ?
@PneumaticAddict2 жыл бұрын
Not all the seams. Luckily, we were able to get most of the panels to fit together tightly. We only had a few gaps which we needed to fill.
@pf56582 жыл бұрын
Good idea to think ahead but the carpet in that section will not match after a few years from it being enclosed so you’ll probably have to end up changing it anyway. Nice job though. 😊
