Way back in the mid 90’s I had a Cutlass Calais from the 80’s, 4 door and not the cool kind 😂 the rear quarters were rotted out at the bottom and I wasn’t a skilled body guy. So I taped over the holes and filled the void through the trunk with foam. Took a few days to dry. Pulled the tape, sanded it, put some “speed tape” over it and painted it almost the same color. Stopped the exhaust from filling the cabin. So awesome that you are teaching JD how to paint, perfect project for it. Like you said, he couldn’t screw it up, and if he had, it would not be a problem, and you could teach him to fix it. Wish I could have gotten my kid interested in fixing cars. Now that he’s older he wishes he’d have taken an interest. It’s never too late, I’m teaching him how years later.
