Great little, handy little FP grill! Just that you repurposed a bed frame, Presto! Into a cook stove, for the fire pit! Genius!!!

The improvement in your welding since your first welding video is incredible! Went back and watched that one after this one just to see, and the difference is night and day. Congrats!!

Thx! Slow and steady wins the race , literally with welding. And get the wand closer than you think it should be. 😀 Eric.

Why did I watch this and think I could weld? Lol! Thanks for the video. I really like you! I wish I could come shadow you for a day because I’m always trying to do little things to our first home. You’re a good teacher!

Anything that has to do with chopping up and welding a bed frame is extremely satisfying in my book. I hate those viscous ankle-grabbers!!! The fact that you turn it into a grill top is a bonus!!! Great video Great spirit Keep them coming ☀️

Thank you sir! I have been keeping 2 bed frames around for 2 years thinking I will think of a use for them. I was about to take them to the scrap yard, but now I have other plans.

I live in Canada and we fortunate to have a fireplace in the living room and a wood stove in the basement. We live in the middle of the city. It more additional heating when is -20C outside and for ambiance…but what a great idea if their an electric outage to have an alternative way to cook and heat the house.

DIY is better than store bought for sure. Here's proof. Years ago, maybe 6 or 8, I built a 16 x 8 foot raised bed garden in my backyard. The same year I purchased an 8 x 6 foot raised bed garden. Yesterday I noticed that the store bought garden had collapsed on two sides. The boards simply collapsed. My DIY raised bed garden is just fine

You’ve convinced me - after the sewing machine, I’m getting a flux core welder (I may need to get a garage at some point first 😆). Thanks for making these cool projects accessible. Can welding really be (almost) as easy as hot glueing? Only one way to find out!
@gardenfork2 жыл бұрын
Flux core and mig welding is quite easy. Flux core has more spatter and smoke, you can MIG weld indoors IMO. Eric.

That's a nice grate. Most of the ones at the stores are flimsy, but that's what's needed for Dutch ovens.

🇺🇸👍👍👍 that's a good idea with the bed frame so I've been doing that for years angle iron is hard to get very expensive Bob Elkhart Indiana just don't forget when you used bed frames you got to burn it the excess paint off before you cook on it

This grate cook cooker reminds me of when I lived in Sicily. You would hire the local metalsmith to whip you up one of these and we’d have coals right on the earth on the property. Roasted artichokes were my fav. Good times, good times. 😃

Tacking the four corners and then fully welding them might have helped keep the frame as square as it was when you checked it. Anyway, love your videos! It's almost Maple Season again!

How many amps does that welder take... is it on a 20 amp or a 30 amp circuit
@gardenfork2 жыл бұрын
It’s plugged into a 15 amp 120 volt outlet. I’ve run this on a 50’ extension cord. It’s good. Thx! Eric.

ist time watch. great. with all the political problems was looking for something that I can use for cooking if we got an emp and power grid collapses. Have an indoor fireplace (no bbq) and thought can use that. but it looks like it would be cheaper to buy a grill or portable stove. It would cost me more to get the equipment to build what you did + no skills + 80 year old with some physical limits. So great job and entertaining,
