OMG. Thank you for posting this video!! My Cuisinart TOA60 light just went out last week. I did some research and a lot of comments were saying it can't be replaced but helllll naww. Finally found this gem of a video. Thank youuuu! I bought a bulb thinking it was the same as yours but mine is a halogen bulb! Ugh! So frustrating. I have to go and exchange my bulb. My bulb is a G9 120v 25w. I really had halogen bulbs hopefully I can find an LED replacement. Anyways, Thank you for posting this!!

I have what looks to be the same model, but when I removed the back, the oven section has an additional back that blocks the rear-most screws to the metal can that holds the bulb. I cut that zip tie you mention and then unbent the 2 metal tabs that hold the top piece of the metal can. I then bent up the piece of metal that forms the top of the can. I wouldn't recommend doing it more than once, but it worked for me. I removed the nut at the bottom that holds the socket in place and I was able to pop it out the top of the metal can. The reason you broke the bulb is that they hot melted it in place. The original bulb is an E17, 25 Watt. I was able to find an E17, 15 Watt at Home Depot. They had the 40 Watt there but it was physically a larger bulb, so I went with the 15 Watt. Seems to put out enough light. I replaced the zip tie with a typical nylon one - we'll see if it melts. Thanks for your video!

I used a LED replacement bulb. Much sturdier than standard bulb. BTW, I also broke the old bulb when removing. I tried doing it without peeling back the enclosure. Still had to peel back anyhow to remove broken bulb

Thanks so much! very helpfuld video! yeap, got my cuisinart air fryer and after two weeks bulb went out, so sad manufacturer decided to use such a cheap bulb as original equipment. I am now wondering if I should just go and return it to the store and get a new one and save the hassle, just afraid the bulb will go out soon on the new one also :-(

Spray the bulb threads with electronic cleaner/lubricant also sold at Home Depot. Makes it easy to remove and install.

Great video. Thank you. What an absolutely terrible design. Making it that hard to change a light bulb is just stupid. It should have been accessible by removing a small cover on the outside of the unit,

Good video! I Have a similar unit (model TOA-65) and it has a fan that sounds like it has bad bearings. Curious if you saw a fan in there, and would it be reasonably accessible for replacement?? (I'm assuming that the 2 models are the same except for the controls, or at least similar enough design)

I didn’t notice a fan in there. Sorry man.

@@handyandy8931 Thanks for the quick reply.. I guess i'm going to dive in and see how it goes.. maybe make a video myself. it will either end as a success, or with me destroying the pieces in the back yard with a sledge and ordering a new one from Amazon! ;-)

Well, I wish replacing the bulb in my model TOA-60 air fryer could be as 'easy' as yours. However, when I remove the back panel, there is ANOTHER back panel attached by four screws that YOU CANNOT GET TO unless you disassemble the entire unit. Whoever engineered this piece of crap needs to have their Mechanical Engineering degree taken away. I will try a different method and post.
