Great economical idea. An "Afghan hook" could be used to make continuous hoops for a larger project.

Can I just say, thanks for just getting straight to the point? This is the first tutorial on anything that didn't make me squirm to fast forward, thank you so much! I'm an avid crocheter so I'm excited to try to make my own rug like this

Thank you so much! I'm experienced crocheter but I prefer amigurumi and it gets pretty dull after a while. I've been so drawn to rug tufting and this is exactly what I needed! Thank you thank you thank you!

I'm enjoying this project so much. Please help though, how would I finish off the loop stitch - also just slip stitch into one of the other stitches? Will it hold? I'm not experienced at crochet. thank you!
@rolohooks2 жыл бұрын
Slip stitching should work just fine to finish off your loop stitches! The main thing you want to keep in mind is that if your loops aren't long enough, they might unravel. 1 or 2 inches in length is usually enough, but once you've worked a few you'll get a feel for it! ;) Hope your project goes well! Thanks for watching, and hope that was a helpful answer!

Are these base rubber canvas safe to use on hardwood floors? Will they damage the floor?
@rolohooks Жыл бұрын
I've found two different types of base canvas. One is really stiff cord, and the other is a more flexible polyester weave, which is what I prefer. Amazon sells a variety of non-slip rug pads that are safe for wood floors, so just to be safe, I would try to find something you can cut down and tape to the bottom of your rug! :)

Are these rugs like really sturdy or will they tear apart
@rolohooks10 ай бұрын
They are super sturdy! Most latch hooking fabric is going to be really strong. I would just try to avoid using cotton yarn (it breaks a lot easier!)
