+Elaine White Thank you Hun! I really enjoyed this project. There are so many different colors of straws you can use. I found a seller on Ebay who has really good feedback. She sells beautiful straws 12 for .99 cents plus free shipping. She lives in China but I was really impressed with how quickly I received my order. Hugs!

How time many things were once beautiful has become boring. A simple straw that is colorful and made out of some type of thin layer of cardboard. Now, the straws has become white or clear made out of plastic like no life. I love your straw Christmas tree ornaments. You are so clever and crafty. Thank you for sharing.

This one called out my name. I went to Dollar Tree and bought the straws, went to Michael's and bought the star beads and bling. I also bought gold beading thread that I'll use as a hanger. I plan to give them to my nieces and nephews with money wrapped around the "trunk" like you showed us. THANKS Happy Bird!!!! 💓💓💓

Kathryn Jackson Good for you Kathryn! LOL! I think you'll have fun with this one. It went pretty smoothly for me once I cut all the straws, however, the paper with the measurements is what really helped me organize. God bless!

Virginia Bernal Virginia, it just warms my heart to know you had so much fun making the Christmas tree ornaments! :o) And how sweet of you to make 40 of them for your grandson's class! That's a lot of work! :o) My grandson turned 7 a couple of months ago and he is the light of my life. Aren't they fun? :o) If I had it my way, I would want at least 10 more! LOL

Hi.... This is very cute! What did you use to cut the straws - an exacto knife or scissors? I know the straws are thicker, but can be damaged if you squeeze them too hard. Thank you.
