Nice work. If you like a different sound quality you can put a rubber O-ring around the wooden ball where it contacts the tank. You get a warmer ringing sound to the chime.

Good idea 👍 Thanks. I made a leather wrapped one once for a guy for the same purpose.

Joshua, I just ran across you and your videos today. This is the first and only one i have watched so far. Very nicely done. I am curious about the ratio of ingredients for your rust solution.
@ShalohaCreations3 ай бұрын
@@jeffclark3932 Thanks Jefclark3933. I usually do a 1:1 or 2:1 vinegar to peroxide. I squirt a little soap in the mix to help hold it on the metal and a bit of salt.. the ratio doesn’t have to be precise. I’ve mixed it a variety of ratios and it always seems to work just fine as long as the metal is clean. 🤙

These are amazing. You should sell these. I imagine there is a plethora of scooba tanks where you're located. Pretty hard to findin Nebraska.
@ShalohaCreations3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Craig🙏.. I do sell these ;) I’m always checking local listings for tanks. The steel ones are harder to come by than the aluminum ones, but I scoop them up when I can.👍 Ive made them from oxygen and co2 tanks as well, I’m sure there are some of those in your area ;)

It will ring better if you cut a line up the flat sides of the tank as well starting at the higher inside curves.

Wow With all the right tools and the skills you have you should be able to sell these wind bells for a pretty penny. Very skilled amazing to watch you work with your hands. Do you have your own shop? Or do you sell online? You must be a fabricator or a welder by trade
@ShalohaCreations3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Matt.. I am blessed to have my own shop. I do fabricate and make these bells on occasion and sell them on Etsy. I haven’t posted much there recently as I am looking for another less expensive way to sell my products. 👍

I would like to know if it will take a gale wind to move the metal ball against the bell?
@ShalohaCreations2 жыл бұрын
Hi CactusLadySouth.. It’s more of a manual use bell than a wind chime. Though if I made a longer and wider tail off the clapper it would probably work as a wind style bell. 👍
@cactusladysouth10002 жыл бұрын
@@ShalohaCreations Do you have a formula for length of cord and size of tail for wind chimes to work in lower wind areas?

Very Nice Joshua, I would be great to have your shop and tools. Would a cutting torch be a substitute for a plasma cutter? Thanks
@ShalohaCreations4 жыл бұрын
Curt Obermeyer Hi Curt, a cutting torch would work just fine for steel tanks. I’ve even seen guys use a grinder with cutting wheel. Some tanks are aluminum so a plasma cutter is ideal for those...
