My original keyboard 5567 has a small kb bl ribbon that I don't see on the replacement. I get a no booting device found error after replacement. I think that missing ribbon is the cause. My hdd connection looks fine. Any suggestions please?

Yeah, no. Not worth the hassle, and possibility of breaking a ribbon connector, or not having enough plastic there to melt. They're making these things to be disposable anymore, even if it did cost a grand when it was new. I will get an eternal USB keyboard when the sticky hhh, and have to slam gg gg g & x xx, just get to be too much.

Yeah I'm not good with small items, I tend to break them. My 5567 is 7 years old now so I think a plugin keyboard is the way to go for me. I'll just sit it on top of my broken one. If I get a couple more years out of it I'm good and my laptop doesn't owe me anything.

@@rjones2000r I ended up getting a real thin wireless keyboard that just fit below the original keyboard with some velcro. I picked up one of those mini computers to hook up to the TV for around $200, and it works great! I'll be replacing this notebook soon with one of those, being that I never take it anywhere anyways. These things are about 4"X4"X1.5", came with windows 10 pro loaded on it.
