I’ve been using iAPS/Trio since July and love it so far. Once you get a handle on the settings it has a chance of working almost autonomously.

Great discussion and comparison of Loop and Trio. However, AAPS does not belong in the headline since it was only mentioned briefly once or twice. But even though my main interest was AAPS, I still enjoyed the video. Thanks for making it!

Got a iPhone 16 they day it it came out. I had a Samsung S23 Ultra prior to that but wanted to go back to Apple. I love both ecosystems; however, I do miss AAPS. prior to that but wanted to go back to Apple.

Super informative! Thank you! 1 week on Trio after 5 years on Loop. Really loving it so far. Turned on Dynamic ISF today. You do have to do this one step at a time, very slowly.

Is there any app that I could use with tandem pump, their app is still not available in Canada

I still like Loop for its simplicity, Trio is so complex and so many levers you can pull.

I eat carnivore. I have been using Loop since March. Would I be better off using Trio or just stay with Loop? I just had my A1C at my doctors office and it was 5.2! I'm so happy after being so frustrated with the setup process. Thank you for any help.

Off topic, comment: For a monitoring device I use X-Drip on my Android phone. I appreciate the voice announcement capability for the BG readings when it is not convenient to look at my pump, phone, or watch. i also like the BG forecast graph based on insulin and carbohydrate intake data.

Super micro bolus was discussed but nobody gave the definition. In AAPS the "super" in super bolus and super micro bolus refer to "stealing" basal insulin and giving it upfront inside a bolus. So let's say your basal is 1unit/hour and your bolus calculator is telling you that you need 5 units. If you select to super bolus aaps will turn your basal off for 2 hours and add those 2 units of basal insulin to your bolus which then increases from 5 to 7. The idea is that giving the basal up front will lower your meal spike.

Is Trio available for Android? I'm low carb, on a GLP-1, but I have an Android

I will stay with FDA approved pump. It works great for me with A1C's in the 5's for years. I stay healthy too. Not going to chage what is working for me. I also am really not tech savvy so it is not for me.
