Great video, tutorial for everyone with a diesel heater! Surly going to save someone one day searching in desperation when their heater has stopped working, but as you said, better to be prepared by cleaning now and not in -40 ! 👍🏼💕

Awesome teacher. Even I understood your instructions. I posted on Class A Living channel letting him know about you. He is a young guy like you rebuilding his motorhome. He just installed a heater in his truck to use until his camper is done.

Attempt 2 on my comment. I’ve discovered KZbin is deleting some peoples subscriptions and comments . So now I am getting to comment on this video. This is a very informative video Bruce ,and I am sure it will save some folks a lot of grief , by knowing how to clean their diesel heaters . I hope the 2K model will work good for you this coming winter. You did a perfect job of getting it cleaned up and ready to go. Take care buddy and stay safe. Now I gotta go re-subscribe to the other channels I follow that got deleted as a sub of mine….including Tamara’s channel. Kiki..👍😁🌸 Interesting lawn sprinkler shower by the way !! 🤪

@@BruceVanlifeJunior No worries buddy…I know it’s not you or other content producers..it’s a KZbin thing….lots are getting unsubscribed to channels they have been subscribed to for years! I will just be more diligent to check my subscriber list more regularly!, Take care my dear! 👍🏻😊

Hey I just wanted to let everyone know the parade of garage sales is on in Ramsay today. Van builds, second hand stuff, camping gear, and a rolling kitchen cart that could be a nice little kitchen in a van. Keep an eye out for these in the summer. A day of yard sales is also a good idea for KZbin content *cough* Amber*cough* Also: tomorrow people can bring what didn’t sell to the Bridge Club so it can be free stuff

This is a great tutorial, Bruce! I was surprised at how much build-up there was inside the unit. I will be rewatching this and following the steps when I do some fall maintenance. Currently, no need to use the unit as it's 30+ degrees Celsius in Ontario. 🥵

Have you used something like Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) or a diesel cleaner before by adding a couple drops / teaspoon to your diesel tank and letting it run through the system or know of anyone ?
@BruceVanlifeJunior Жыл бұрын
No I’ve never used it but I know people who do use diesel stuff in the fuel tank I just never have myself 🤷🏼♂️😅
@marco1862 Жыл бұрын
Wow that heater is really dirty inside, did you always make sure to run the cleaning cycle after using the heater. Ive seen this before and mostly it is when people run out of battery and the heater shuts down without the cleaning cycle on the end.
@BruceVanlifeJunior Жыл бұрын
That’s happened to me many many of times and once it’s charged up again it fires back up if not it’s just this issue most times 🙏🏼 so far I’ve been lucky not needing parts
@marco1862 Жыл бұрын
@@BruceVanlifeJunior True but this is the reason the heater is this dirty inside. It skips the cleaning proces at the end and then starts over again.
@BruceVanlifeJunior Жыл бұрын
They also get dirty over time as well , even diesel trucks and cars do the same that’s why there called dirty diesels 😅 If only the Chinese ones came in gas 😍🤷🏼♂️

Thanks for the tip on the silicone gasket alternative; it'll work in a pinch! It seems odd that there is so much soot in 2 seasons of use; do you start and shutdown the heater according to proper procedure?
