Nice one! I have wanted a diffusion filter for ages, but couldn't bring myself to pay £100 for it. Will definitely use this trick instead - the effect looks great!

Right!? I was actually pretty shocked with the results. I’ve used the cinebloom and tiffen pro most filters before and it’s not a bad match lol.

Is it weird that I couldn't see any difference at all with the moment filter or the diy filter? When he put it on/off it all looked exactly the same to me.

Do not buy the Cinebloom filter from Moment if you need your gear in a timely manner. I paid for one of their filters on Monday. 4days later Thursday came along and the filter still hasn’t shipped out lol. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah I ordered when it first launched and got it pretty quickly. But I heard they were on back order for ages.

@@Tom-Humble Moment just has to be more transparent on delivery times or back orders. The ordering page specifically said “in stock..ships today..” I bet it’s a good filter but what good is it if it doesn’t arrive in time for a shoot. Anyway, looking forward to finally receiving it one day.

Hairspray filter does not change anything at all!! Maybe it needs more hairspray on it!!

the hairspray is very subtle, but I still see the difference... for sure you would need more sprays on the filter to get a stronger softness..

I could not see the difference in the video footage on my phone, but the film photos did have a difference- given how easy it is to do I wanna try it
