My only issue with my 50E is the shutter lag. Is so annoying.
@Tom-Humble4 күн бұрын
@@georgios.marinoudis mine had same issue but the shutter blades just needed a gentle wipe with some ear buds as it tends to get oily. Has worked perfectly since.
@georgios.marinoudis4 күн бұрын
@@Tom-Humble Mine was always like that. I think it's because it has an electronic button in the shutter, so there's latency. Will try to clean it though. Even in my 5MKII there's a latency, small but noticeable for me. That's why I prefer mechanical buttons like the film cameras have. Anyway. Nice shootout. Love the pushed HP5

Great comparison and I share your opinion...right down to 35mm...however...there is an ace up your sleeve you didnt count on...Delta 400. I find delta to be really close to Tri-x. Nearly saame contrast but different grain structure. Give it a try and tell us what you think. As always, thank you for your efforts. I really enjoy your channel.

@@RichardJPhotog thank you! I have tried delta 400 and got amazing results. Great contrast and sharpness. It lacks the grain you get with tri-x though that I really love. Thanks for commenting ☺️

You have been turned on to something special. I come from a film background as a photographer. And the 5D classic is the digital camera that gave me enough bravery to make the leap. I still own three since Canon will no longer service them. I intend to cannibalize for parts as long as is possible. Anyway, I enjoyed your video.

Hello Mr. Humble. Just checking in to see how you’re getting along. My son is just past 10 months. I put aside making pictures for almost a year. There just wasn’t any time with work, family commitments and taking care of a 4 year old and an infant. Seeing my son’s smile made me purchase a 5 roll box of Portra 160 a month ago and it has spurred me to start making pictures again. So much so that i am thinking of the M11-D. You’ve lost considerable weight. I hope the inimitable Mrs. Humble is worried about you and will take appropriate steps. Take care Tom.

Good to hear you’ve found the inspiration to pick up a camera again. I’ve been a bit busy myself recently with a new job and moving home. Haven’t had much time for any personal work. I went vegan a few years ago and the weight loss is simply down to no meat and dairy. Trust me though I still put food away and I’m as healthy as an ox 💪 Love to you and the family and glad you’re doing well.

Are you sure you blow your highlights with film? Which film? Slide film? Because if your using hp5 you can get away with 5 stops of overexposure easily and at 2 of under similar with tri-x or many b&w film similiar for most of color negatives even better if you use movie film such as vision 3. This Canon 5d is a beautiful digital camera with much personality thats where similarities end when comparing it to film.

@gohumberto5 ай бұрын
I have a very similar setup, although I have a 1/4 mist filter (which may be a bit heavy. I may go for a 1/8). I tend to use a bit of grain in my recipes as well. I see the X100V as a camera for life and a camera for daily carry. The biggest difference between our cameras is that I use a silicon "wrap" on mine. It protects it from knocks and scratches. I use them on several cameras. I hate those scratches on the base of cameras, after you put them down on a stone wall or whatever.
