Hi there - I have an 8000w hub with a 72v controller. My bike has no power when I select 72v on the sw900 settings. When I select 60v it works and it goes even faster at 48v. Which one would be the correct setting? I have P14 set to 30

Hi there Sir Fabian, honestly I'm not an expert on this but what you have is a very powerful motor. But I think the settings would only be as a guide, maybe you can play along as long as the motor works with that settings. Make few adjustments once it works on a particulart voltage. Thanks.

Good day Sir. Are you using fat tires on your bike or having sa bigger tires? You might want to play around "P06" Wheel size configuration, you may use 27 or 27.5 instead. For "P07", yes you can experiment on that by making it higher. I haven't change mine yet...I'll check it out. Thanks Sir..

I think that has something to do with battery spedifically on the continous max discharge current the battery can support. Mine supports up tp 30 Amps continous so this functions works on my e-bike.

He is correct that is the continuous current limit of the controller if is not set properly to match the battery it will shut down the bike. If the bike is working fine leave it as it is or ask the manufacturer

Good morning Sir, based on my readings even though this is not used but what I have read "P15" is the low voltage cut-off for the controller. I think this would be applicable if your battery is not using a BMS to manage your battery in order for this setting could be useful. The value of which is 10% less of the total voltage of the battery you are using. Thanks for your comment Sir. Stay safe.

on the 5 level Pedal assist on first i go about 11 Mph om second i jump to 21 Mph and three about 24Mph . Second should be about 16Mph anyway to fix that? How much difference is on your build?

Good day Sir. Based on experience, pedal assist levels would only give you an assist or will activate the motor depending on how hard you pedal. Pedal assist level 1 is the lowest meaning you have to put more effort in order to activate the magnet sensor as this is the hardest to perform. If you go up the levels, 2,3-5 means less effort is exerted to activate the motor to give that assist. Even if you are only at pedal assist level 1 you could still reach the max speed @ 26-30 mph depending on how hard you pedal. I think it has something to do with how the magnet sensor senses how many times the rotation of the magnet sensor which is determined by the controller and how much power will it drive the motor. @@RollyPetz Thanks for the Reply . I think its because of my Heavy steel frame. Yes i can pedal like dying and get upto 14Mph on pedal assist 1 but on pedal assist 2 easy pedal for 21 Mph. The jump is just too big maybe its only on my bike.

Hi Sir, have you experienced draining the battery for your use, example on a longer ride? Base on my experience it will always stay of full bar until such time the battery drains out then it would likely indicate 3 bars then go back again to full specially when you are at stop. That means that the battery almost reached its low voltage disconnect. But if you continue using it, then it will go 3 bars till 2 bars then would disconnect eventually. Thanks.

Hi, thanks your video, it’s been 1 year and wanted to know your experience updated upon your SW900 LCD Display. I have ordered 2 ebike 12000w with the SW900 LCD Display. I herd there’s a new model ukc1 led color display that just came out not to long ago. But yeah I seen good and bad reviews of sw900, what’s your experience feedback on it ? Is it all weather proof? Is it reliable over all ?

Good day Sir Paul. Based on my readings, P07 Speed measuring magnet. Range: 1-100 "This is 47 for direct drive motors and 86 for geared ones. " This is quite tricky though.

Good day Sir. Speed limit can be change by going through the configuration setup specifically P08-> this sets the speed limit of the ebike. Increasing/decreasing the tire size would affect speed. the bigger is the tire, the faster it will run, not only this but also tire pressure and body weight of the user. Thanks for your comment Sir.

Good day Sir Ramon. The speed of the kits will vary on different scenarios, the weight of the rider, terrain being travelled to, tire pressure and the like. Below are the typical speeds. PAS Level 0 - Normal pedaling speed between 25-30 km/hour PAS Level 1 - Speed between 25-30 km/hour PAS Level 2 - Speed between 30-35 km/hour PAS Level 3 - Speed between 35-40 km/hour PAS Level 4 - Speed between 40-45 km/hour PAS Level 5 - Speed between 45-50 km/hour Battery @ 48V 16AH would like go beyond 60 km depending on the pedal assist levels. Hi Sir good day. Have you check the configuration on P03 if its selected to the correct voltage? If this is not set to the correct voltage rating, chances are your motor wouldn't run. I supposed you've already check the battery voltage using a multimeter. Thanks.

Good morning. I think the extra blue cable is the "hall sensor" it is the one that limits the motor to run at certain speed. You can leave it unconnected. Thanks.

Maybe you can disconnect your battery and test for the voltage output from the battery itself. Tnx. Also, you might check on the SW900 configuration on P03 if that is the correct voltage setting.

I have an issue with my display that i just cant figure out. hoping someone here may know how to fix. the speed limit does not work and cant figure out why when all other settings work. the other problem i have is i set the tyre size correctly and the odometer was correct but the speedometer was around 10 kmh out. reading 40kmh when only going 30kmh. so i changed p07 and got the speedometer right but now my odometer is completly out. did 7.6km but the trip said 4.3km. is there any way to make both accurate? i can change p07 back so the odometer is correct but then the speedometer is wrong. i can change the tyre size to around 16inch to make the speedometer right but i dont think the odometer would be correct.

Good day. Here are my answers based on my test. -> the speed limit does not work- this only works on throttle and not on pedal assist -> offset mileage and odometer - try to play around the tire size ex. 20", try to put it @ 21" then adjust P07 just a little bit. Thanks.

Have 1000w direct drive sw900 ,Display works show's all data but cannot adjust pedal assist ,it works but feels like its it max assist as draws around 450watts during PAS and no effort peddling (no throttle used) Also this may help someone ,my sw900 wouldn't connect Error10 I found the 2 data lines crossed ,reversed wires then connect ok

Hi Sir Mason, actually you speed will still be the same but your speed on your odometer will a slight faster because you increased the size in your controller configuration, but it would be a nice thing to experiment on.
