Just bought one of these for my son. And there isn’t any instructions 🤷🏻♂️

I bought one of these after watching this video and have just finished building it. I was able to finish this build without any major issue. Thanks to Backofficeshow for the helpful guide! Helped me out big time.

The word "Triode" was used by the inventor of the vacuum tube triode and is from a Greek word that means "3 ways", or a junction where three roads meet. Therefore technically a transistor is a triode since it it a junction where 3 currents meet (at least as much as a semiconductor diode that inherited its name from the vacuum tube equivalent) although historically the English speaking world doesn't really use the word that way. I imagine its a Chinese-English translation thing, but it does seem rather quaint. Its a bit like the way a lot of Chinese kits refer to 7 segment displays as "tubes". I built one of these kits a few weeks ago, its very bright but does burn through the batteries a bit, so I power mine from a USB charger these days!

I'm confused, what did you first do to correct only one side was getting power? I have the same issue and tried rotating the tree with no luck

Nice tutorial, I didn‘t get any instructions with mine and the one on the website is so old, that there are parts in my kit, that are not in the instructions, so I had to look up a video and found yours. Only criticism is, that you didn‘t put a warning in concerning the mismatch with + and -. I followed along and now I am stuck because I don‘t have anything to desolder…

I just had a scare doing the leds . After checking the led worked , it stopped working once soldered in . I thought I bent them too hard or the heat of soldering . Realized it didn't test positive once soldered into the circuit ...

Thanks for the video very helpful and its nice to know your talking to yourself like me :-) lol Just wondering on your soldering skills, i changed mine over to the one you have and found it a lot quicker at it heating it up just not sure what temputure you have yours? I set mine to 400c which it may b etoo high? thanks! I want to try to do a few of these for Old people home for there Christmas Dinner if I can do them!
@backofficeshowАй бұрын
400 is a little bit too high. You might find that the solder will oxidize at that, maybe you'll find a sweet spot between 250 and 300. It does depend on your solder to be fair and often the manufacturers do say what temperature they melt at.

My kit came with 3 different colors of LED. Yours are way better. Ill grab one of the one you linked. I like it better. Mine just go red green blue in order. I found it easier to screw in the battery holder before soldering to the base. Those little nuts suck between the trunk and the power and the switch

You're reminding me that now is a really good time to start getting in those Christmas electronics projects, every year I plan to make my my own LED ornaments, and every year I fail to do it

@@backofficeshow yeah I found the trees for a good deal on Amazon for $4. They were labeled 7.99 but right under said 50% off so I'm glad I read the listing. I have like 10 to make lol. I want to do the red round ones but can only find them for $17 for 2.

Great video. LEDs 7-12 don't light up on card A. Any ideas what I did wrong?

I would suggest double checking the polarity of those particular LEDs

That did it, I had one LED with the polarity reversed. Thanks!

so my kit is a little different than yours, and my instructions are in chinese... Got most of it figured out, but I didn't realize until I was done that I soldered every. single. LED. on. backwards...! Any hope to get this to work, or am I SOL?
