DIY enclosed trailer shelf with tool chest

Great work! Rip that back corner piece, add hinges underneath, small handle to front piece and you can access the empty space in back for storage. Probably would need to miter your trim. Good stuff. A lot of great ideas from you!

I would recommend leaving the front 2x up where it leaves a lip at the front of the shelf so you can set things up there and not have to worry so much about them rolling/falling off!

I would recommend pegboard on the "V" wall above your table. Use that same material you have on top of the table to the top and lay your pegboard on that for the spacing behind the pegboard for the hangers.

This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble kzbin.infoUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

For the etrack running verticals, do you hit stud in only one spot or 2 spots (ea side) of track or only 1?

Do you find that the tools go all over the place when you travel? Just curious how much bouncing around I could expect and how best to counter it all. I have my sockets secured in twist lock style trays and foam, but my wrenches are in those typical plastic holders ( V cradles ). How is your rig doing in this regards? Thanks in advance.

Hey man, no they don’t move at all really, most corner I take are slow anyway with the size of the trailer and the chest dosent move an inch with how I built it in, if you have those trays and stuff like that for your tools you’ll be fine

Probably not in this trailer, you should support them from the floor up, the walls are super thin plywood so hanging anything that heavy just from the aluminum stud and thin plywood wouldn’t be a good idea

You could use this as your sink area for a bathroom in the front of the trailer. I would add two medicine cabinets facing each other with mirrors.

Did you not understand? I literally said I’m not a carpenter so if you want serious woodworking and quality done this isn’t the video to watch, it’s meant for an easy way to have a tool box in your trailer with some basic hand tools and a rough idea to get it done on a weekend lol
