In addition to adding baking soda, and isopropyl alcohol, I will also add 1/8 tsp salt to this DIY. I hear it helps to disperse oils so they won't sit on top of the water.

Better use this within a couple of days. Without alcohol, there is no preservative to prevent growth of bacteria.

I couldn't wait to try this...short list of ingredients, quick and easy. I did purchase the same bottles from Amazon. They are very sturdy but I was expecting more of a "mist" from the spray setting. Seems you have to spray it far away from furniture or anything you don't want to get wet because these bottles are "sprayers" not "misters", imo. Great air freshener recipe, though.

Doesn't the baking soda clogged up the spray nozzle. That's what I've experienced when using baking soda and sprays it tends to dry or Harden and then the sprayer no longer works

Not all essential oils are safe for animals. Just google which ones are and aren't. the baking soda and water should be fine.

It depends on what fragrance/essential oil your using. Some fragrance/essential oils are safe for dogs, but you would need to make sure your dog isn’t allergic even if it’s safe for dogs. You should really try searching it up online or talk to your pets vet to see if it’s safe for your dog, or what he/she is allergic to.☺️Hope this comment helps!

Anytime your making something that you won't use in a day or 2, then use distilled water to prevent it from going bad.

Water is kind of a lonely molecule that will try to bond with something. If you use well water it will already be bonded to a small amount of calcium or some other mineral so it wont cling as strongly to whatever you mix with it. Distilled water doesn't have any minerals and has a little better "attractive" quality to it for easier blending and a stronger bond.
