Just found you! NOW I know what I will be doing to the ugly backsplash in my kitchen! It's like a medium gray panel with little squares. This is an older house that we rent from my husband's friend. Doing what you did will brighten it up so much.

I love your faux brick wall. I did a faux brick wall last summer and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I didn't to the compound but I did white wash it and then added some yellows, browns and greens to give it an older outdoor look. I added some home made faux windows and shutters. If I could insert a picture I would. I love your DIY projects!

I think you should just put it on the connecting kitchen wall, it would look more like a true chimney than if you put it all the way down the hall. Maybe you could do some faux shiplap down the hall for visual interest. BUT, you do you!! It’s your home and everything you do looks great! I love this !!

I would not put the brick panel down the hall. You have a brick "fireplace wall" closed that is very believable. It would look fake if you put brick down the hall. Nice job with plaster on the brick wall.

Brenda Vanquez Yourkitchen will get more use. I recommend watering down a latex paint.Just white or off white add water to thin it out if too much wipe with wet cloth.

I just did my kitchen backsplash with this brick and now I want it everywhere. Lol. I didn't use the joint compound and just painted it white. I might go back and add the compound and see what look I get.

I love the look the joint compound gives but you have to seal it so it doesn't leave a chalky residue on your hands when your touch it thats the only downside.btw I didn't film that because i had to order a matte finish online.

I know your hubby doesn't like to be filmed or on camera much, but can I just say a BIG kudos to him for a hot-minute!!...Because whenever he does he's such a good-sport about it. For instance, like when you've done y'alls Q & A's & then when he works all day and comes home to help you film a project on your channel for us to get the DIY help... That's just amazing. I'm a single-Mom of a teenager & a toddler and I can only pray & imagine what it's like to have a strong partner in a marriage like the one you guys share in each other!!
