I always let my epoxy set up for awhile before I put on the back splash, and then when it is not sticky anymore, I put s0ome alcohol in my hand and just smooth it on the edges, its life changing!! Love your demo on your marveling effect, also love your turcquiwse, I think I would have run a bit of that color through in small area, just for a pop. Beautiful job!!

I’m planning on such a project for my kitchen countertop this spring. Your veining techniques will prove very helpful. And it’s good to know that you can get an epoxy kit at Home Depot. Good video- thanks.

Question, will this look ok if epoxy isn’t used? I want to do this to a table top in my living room that won’t come in contact with any water, it’s simply an accent table. Is there another shiny sealer I could use that isn’t epoxy?

That is the most realistic fake marble I ever seen. Just one question how do you stop the epoxy from running over the edge and down the cabinets to the floor?

Thank you for this video. I am intending to do this in my shower/tub enclosure (on the old fashioned, ugly looking fiberglass - I think - panels). I am assuming this is all water-proof, right? Do you know if any of these materials you used are not very healthy or toxic? Do they have a strong smell? do you need a mask to apply it? thanks again so much. You did a beautiful job.

Hello I have a question, in between repetitive process do you let veins dry before going over it again? And do you let dry before wiping with dry paintbrush?
@lettycruz84933 жыл бұрын
Monica, she used chalk paint for the veins, so it’s very fast drying. I hope that helps.

I have a question did your countertop turn a yellow color have a couple of months? I think you did a wonderful job on your vanity top!
@tlrmd4you Жыл бұрын
all epoxy will yellow over time, depending on the quality of the epoxy, plus I always put a ultimate top coat that has a great uv protection. But if it gets alot of sunlight, it will over time. Never have I had one do this in less then 4 years...but now, I just do either a very faint gray or a cream off white, so this doesn't ever have a problem. You can also instill a bit of like an amber or cream into your faux finish background or design.
