This is what I was looking for. A light screen divider for a studio apartment! All the ones I see are using heavy wood and too much unnecessary parts.
@jezziekah64333 жыл бұрын
Brilliant! Yes the divider I made is really light in weight. As you can see it is quite huge as it composed of four panels but still it is very handy . Have a blast making yours. I know you’ll do great! 😊

For center piece dimensions Try Horizontal Cross beams: 1/2" x 1/2" x 1.5' Vertical Crossbeams: 1/2" x 1/2" x 6.5' (cut into segments. Thats my best guidance unfortunately)

What was the total cost of the wood/other materials? I'm trying to decide if it's more cost effective to make one of these or to just buy one
@jezziekah6433 Жыл бұрын
Hi Andrea. It all depends on where ypu are from, I mean if the prices of the wood are way cheaper than the ready-made divider. And ofcourse if you have the tools to use. The total cost of the wood that I used in my country is 29usd. The Gun staple is less than $1. The Paint, nails and wood glue costs $7. For the fabric, I only used my old curtain and that’s it 😊

I really love your shutters , And love the way women work nailing sideways while standing on work, classic ! Turn it on side and use floor as a stop ! It might be to dangerous to mention a pneumatic stapler though. !! P.s turn your hinges over there probably countersunk so screws are flush , I'm just saying ! If you need me to come over just call ! i think at :29 the its supposed to be 1/2" x 1" x 1.5' not 1.5 inches. So 1 and a half feet.
@riderhard Жыл бұрын
Yea, its clear that the measurements are wrong and the number of pieces are incorrect. You will need: 1. 2 pieces of 1" x 1/2 " by 6.5' Feet Long for the vertical sides. 2. 2 pieces of 1" x 1/2 " by 1.5' Feet Long for the Horiontal top and bottom. But the inner measurements are NOT given.
@BizzaroBrainBoi Жыл бұрын
@riderhard also when gathering your wood at the store. Make sure each piece of wood isn't warped by laying them on the ground and make sure it's flush before you buy them. This isn't an easy project as the video makes it seem.
