Good idea and good build! Not too fancy and totally workable. Also I could just listen to an engine run like that on a loop, like those "sleep to Thunderstorms" videos ... since I was a kid.

Hey Dave, I usually get a kick out of your videos because you are a true to life type guy and this video did not disappoint. I have been wanting to build a multi engine run stand myself. I have half a dozen engines I want to fire up and let run without bolting them into a vehicle. I like that you designed a fold up that incorporates all the good stuff needed to tell ya what you want to know about the engine, short of being able to pull a load. I feel silly that I did not think of a fold up myself. So thank you for doing your version which is proof of concept to me. Work Safe, Be well

@@chuckster6513 I'm hoping it will be used more in the future and I'll get pics of what it looks like folded up.

Wire on the relays look bigger than the ones I have. What size wire did you use for daisy chains also? I like that. I built mine with only one relay for the fans with a circuit breaker and a couple fuses.

Most of this was 14ga. Ignition was 10. I just used what I had.

At around 5:45 you were welding some tubing round stock onto the engine stand but yet you used square stock to fit over it? Was there a particular reason that you used it? Because at 8:11 you slid some square stock over it and ran a bolt through them both?
@AndrewHCann6 ай бұрын
Excellent video Dave :) also myself like use fuse on.lots things to and don't mind more than just one too ! Had first FWD car in 1996 and was switches mobile because something had to electrical problems and surprizes me had 6 switches on it all fused up too and last long time right up 2005 when my middle older brother gave up on too ! Was KCar 1988 Dodge Aires gave to my middle older brother in 1998 he said was fun to understand on switches to when all label up too Lol ! Also want Lol Dave my late Dad had 1968 International 624 German Desiel fuel motor the Fuel Shut of cable broke on in 1992 also he ordered in by International dealer the New one but took 7 days get it and so wire up A Snowmobile Throttle cable to tractor Throttle cable too metal too! But did job and I done lots Wire up to vechiles for years and I enjoy to Dave and not scary unless burn electrical parts and that scare me !
