DIY. Ford Sync 3 Backup Camera, Black Display & Glitch Fix.

Saved me a trip to Ford. They had no idea what I was talking about and would charge me an arm and a leg. Worked on a 2020 Ford Ranger. Did it while I was driving and worked like a charm.

This did work for me and I appreciate this video so much. I have just come from the dealership and I know backup camera would have cost me over $1,000. I called the 1-800 number to Ford and they said I miss the warranty by 12 days. I've been trying to get this part since 2020 when covid hit and they said China would not release them to the US. They now can order them but of course I'm pass my date. I hope this continues to work and I do not see any psychedelic or the camera not working. Again thank you so much for this video.

Holy shit it worked. Shut my screen off for a couple of minutes but it eventually came back on. No problems so far.

Dude! THANK YOU! I put a new tailgate camera in my ‘20 F350 and things got weird, after that. This took care of the blank display, immediately. Any idea how to get zoom and parking lines back on the backup camera?

Try disconnecting the battery cables for a few minutes then reinstall. If it's just a software glitch, this may reboot it, much like your home PC. Let me know how it works for you. Thanks for watching.

My screen is black except for the date, time and temp. When i put car in reverse the screen shows the back up cam but once in drive, nuetral or park its black again. Soft/hard resets do not work. Any advice?

I have a 2014 escape and don’t even have a key. I don’t think this works for me.

If it’s push to start then don’t put your foot on the brake and push the start button once and that should put it in accessory mode

It should work on push button start as well. Just press the button once with foot off the brake and that will turn it on to accessory.

Tried this w 2013 F350, no ford icon showed up. Screen stayed black. ( releasing the 2 buttons as suggestions shows, the sync shows up and says” “required maintenance “loading” “check back up camera” yes no” appeared, cannot make Yes check mark give a ok check. Removed fuse #34 as a suggestion for back up camera reset, that did not work.
