Definitely would have used a spray sealant would prevent cracking and dulling the glitter color. But awesome tutorial 👏 kicks look great

Hi! Great video! 💖 I used to do paintings on wood boards and you also need a seal. So I used to do extra hold hairspray for that. Idk if it would be enough to hold the glitter but it doesn't hurt to give it a try. And you can start with a light coat and repeat as much as needed.

Thanks! Yea so I have heard the Dollar tree has a good extra hold hair spray that seals the glitter. I'll have to try that. Lately I've been trying an acrylic sealant spray by Mod Podge.

Hello! Thank you so much for sharing this video. It's *THE BEST* tutorial I have come across yet (and I've been searching for a video like yours for *OVER TWO HOURS NOW* )!!! If you don't mind... I just have a couple of questions I'd like to ask! • Is there a reason you didn't use tape to preserve the white sections of the shoe? Does the specific material the shoes are made of not react nicely to the adhesive from the tape? I, personally, would like to tape off the sections of the shoe that I want to keep white. However, if it ruins the shoe in any way, I will *DEFINITELY* skip the tape! (Imagine doing all that work, then you take off the tape, and it ruined the fabric of the shoe or something just as terrible happens?!?!? *OMG*! That would be awful!!!) So, I am curious if you tried tape at all. If so, what happened? If you didn't. Why not? • I'm also curious if you have tried painting the shoe. Royal Blue is actually my *FAVORITE COLOR* !!! So, I would love to do this project in the same exact colors as you did! However, if they were purchased in the color white, would you recommend painting them this shade of blue? I don't think it would be a great idea to just jump right to the glitter. I think it would be a safe idea to have a base color underneath the layers of glitter so it doesn't look patchy! Have you ever tried a base coat or two of paint under the couple of layers of the same color glitter? Is that too much "stuff" on the shoe that will quickly crack or shed the glitter all over the place??? I'm so sorry for the essay that I just wrote you! LOL!!! Thanks! Whew girl that was alot 😆 I didn't mask them off with tape because I'm not the best at masking & it's time consuming. I've never painted a shoe with that material before but it probably would be better that way. Maybe practice the paint on an older shoe to see how it turns out. Good luck.

My problem with mod podge is the cracking.... it dries so hard when your shoes crease the glitter cracks have you experienced this?

This was 2 years ago but they held up a little while maybe month or 2. They began to crack where the shoe bends at toe area. Also my niece is rough on shoes.

Yes indeed. This was a gift to my niece. I don't offer this service. But I'd charge at least $80-100 I guess. I'm kinda bad with pricing & tend to under charge sometimes.

Depending on the size, start from $100 and up, 'cause you know what, one cannot walk into any store and just buy these off the rack, if you know what I mean. Use a waterproof craft spray to seal it OR Depending on the type of Shoe/Fabric and Glitter ect A Clear topcoat nail polish Gel then cure it under a High Watt Uv lamp works very well with little to non cracking (unless you bend the shoe in half or something like that🤣)
