Very simple and easy drill. As I usually say when watching your videos, love your backyard setup. No driving range needed when you can gets reps in at home.

You might be interested in a video; George Knudsen The Swing Motion. At 8:35 he talks about setting up with the ball outside the toe claiming that momentum will bring it back into the sweet spot. It seems to work for me with better contact but only because I think I hang back a little longer for fear of hitting it off the toe. In the final analysis it's all hand/eye coordination. Great video.

I've been putting paint tape on... but pushing it down flush with the club... and I was surprised how it hid the location of the hit. I'll try this loose tap option.

it worked for me, just barely attach it to the club face, it should work, good luck!

Good tip. I have alternate idea which suits my situation. I mark my golf balls with a broad tipped white board pen ( red) . The impact position transfers to the club face and will wipe foo with a damp towel. It also serves to identify your balls when sharing the range area with other golfers. This is common in Australian country courses where the club house is not open and you can't buy a bucket of balls at all times. I have also used marking spray paint ( for construction purposes) to mark the balls and it is quicker than using a pen.
@thebackyardgolfer70104 жыл бұрын
Very interesting never tried that, I have a red marker, I'll see if it works. So you mark your balls and then retrieve them? Cool, I wish they had something like that here.
@kymstock18524 жыл бұрын
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 Yes our clubs are run by a very small staff and we don't have ball retrieval machines. Perhaps we could train the Koalas? Don't use a permanent marker pen, because it won't transfer to the ball easily. The paint idea is quicker to apply and probably cheaper long term.

@@kymstock1852 Still good to have a range! I have the paint too, I'll try it, thanks

I need to try this. Great way to tell were your impacting the ball at. I heard that u can use a foot powder spray too on the clubface. I've haven't tried it though but the tape looks like it works pretty well.
@thebackyardgolfer70104 жыл бұрын
Yeah, foot powder spray should work pretty good too. I knew I was hitting the ball of the toe of the club, but I honesly didn't think I was doing it that much, try it, you'll be surprise where you hitting the ball 👍
@ChiliDippaGolf4 жыл бұрын
@@thebackyardgolfer7010 well the good thing is that your miss is in the same area. I'm probably hitting the ball all over the face😂. Next time I go to the range I'll test it out.

@thebackyardgolfer70104 жыл бұрын

Just a little observation mate. May be try and keep the left wrist a bit flatter in line with your left leg at impact. Great vid though 👍
