Im did one with some velcro! The "rough side sewn to the strap of the bag, ordered a cheap backing for the gopro housing, and glued the soft part to the back of the cheap housing for easy hastle free removal and attachment. Ran a Marines PT with it and it stayed on the entire time!

For the revised version you should round off the corners of the cutting board, just so it's not square, and make it look a lot smaller than it is.. This is actually a good idea for vlogs and such using a small mic

Like it. I have some Starboard (Marine plastic) left over from a boat project that should work also. Keep 'em coming
@kylemartin1018 жыл бұрын
Cool! That would work great, You should round the edges a bit too.

Mine came out GREAT! But how do I paint the cutting board material? What kind of paint sticks?

Cool DIY project. Would've been nice to see some example shots of what the GoPro captures

I totally agree, I am sorry I did not include any. If you look at this video you can get an idea of the kind of shot you will get with the backpack strap mount. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnrOaX5smMl8pLc

This is a great idea, but whats that mount you have on the GoPro? The one I have I cant bend back far enough to do this. So it looks like i need that special one with the foot on the back. Also I have a session so gonna have to buy something special i guess...

Nice project, I would definitely made one myself. I would suggest sanding rough edges with a file or sandpaper. :D

Yeah you could do a much better job of finishing the mount.

Kyle Not sure what you call them in US but if you replaced one nut and bolt set with large acco binder clip attaching the mount to the backpack would be a lot easier In fact you could get rid of the bolts altogether and use 2 clips Just a thought Garry

whats the big deal about having the camera mounted on your backpack? taking pics with a remote? or video with a remote? or just transportation?
@ArtBeHereNow8 жыл бұрын
You must rewatch the video and listen to Kyles comments about that. It's actually right up front.

Kyle Martin Tech "GoPro Tips and Tricks" Sounds good to me. Might i also suggest that you add in some of the footage you got of the gopro when using the DIY mount?

Is it comfortable?
@kylemartin1018 жыл бұрын
yep, you don't really notice it, If you have a backpack with a thin strap you might find the camera bouncing around a bit but with stiffer backpack straps this is not a problem.

This is why I watch this channel. I don't like buying GoPro stuff because it's overpriced and under quality. I just drilled holes into a mount and sewed it to a strap, but this is great for a removable solution. Maybe put some grip tape or gel rubber on the back to keep from sliding?
@kylemartin1018 жыл бұрын
That is a good idea! You should look at my video on replacing the adhesive on GoPro mounts. I use it all the time to save having to buy new baseplates. I hear you loud a clear. Based on the response to this video there are a lot of people that agree with you about wanting more DIY videos. I will do what I can to keep them coming, my hope right now is one a week released every Sunday. My challenge now is to find DIY mounts that worth sharing.
