This is successful only in about 50% cases & is rarely a clean cut. Better option: fill the bottle with used engine oil & introduce a red hot rod in it. Due to expansion, the bottle will crack cleanly. This can also be used to cut the bottle at an angle

These techniques will turn out perfectly if you use a glass cutter to score the bottle first. You can see the second one broke all over the place. Good luck sanding that out to make it even.

in the first video we go through. jump to the second video. pay close attention to the wire. the bottle before it enters the container filled with water. the wire still has 2 coils. after the bottle splits into 2. the wire becomes one coil. so what do you think is magic. the wire has 2 coils after entering the water becomes one coil.hhhmmm Actually, in the first video, there is something odd, but it's just not that obvious.
