Thank you for this video. I have used this method on my hair twice and it came out great both times. Several months ago, my hairdresser was having a bad day and gave me an uneven cut and it took about eight months to grow out enough to fix. I have been looking all over youtube for the perfect tutorial to cut my own hair. I came across yours after months of searching. I have never ever cut my own hair before, which is why I so patiently waited to find the right video. Long story short, I've been on bed rest since about 3 months into my pregnancy, but I desperately needed a haircut. This is so flawless! oh god I used to have my hair endlessly long, then I had to cut it down a bit due to the major hair loss I was having cause it was apparently too long for my roots to keep it healthy or whatever.. and it was all flat and boring after cutting it down so I have been wanting to give it some volume, movement and life for forever and this tutorial helped me so much!! you're so genius! After a year and a half of not cutting my hair i finally did and it feels so much better. I was kinda worried about the face framing but it turned out alright. Only thing is I didn't get as much volume and layers as you did. Could it be because even after I cut it, I noticed my hair is still longer than yours? I used to have voluminous beautiful hair but i guess after not trimming for a year and a half its been neglected. I also had A LOT of breakage. And I noticed when i was cutting my hair and how thin it has gotten. I definitely need to start giving some TLC to my hair...

I used her method. it's logical and simple. I had a good result. lost hardly 2 inches. lost all split ends. if u want to give it a try be patient and don't hurry. less is more. use good scissors and comb. difficult for very long hair. my layers are only in the last 3 inches of my hair

So, I tried this method for my dreadlocs and it actually worked! I needed to cut it, but I didn't want the ends to be blunt so I used this video as a guide and it's PERFECT!
