I'm a beginner but this tutorial really worked for me. After getting a bad haircut I ordered hair scissors on amazon and followed this video and my hair came out looking so nice! The pivot of the hair cutting allowed my hair to have nice and soft layers rather than blunt and heavy layers. Thanks Farah!

A week ago I went to the hairdresser after 2 years but I regretted it so much, somehow I never get happy with the end result. I tell them what I want but they end up doing something else. When I came back home I just cut my own hair in layers (using your video from before) and it looked amazing!! It might not be like the perfect even cut but the end result is beautiful .. never going to a hairdresser again!!

Marla Robinson I've cut my own hair many times before. Then I went to a salon and was told not to attempt to cut my hair again. Needless to say it was a ploy to get my business because my husband always praised me for what an amazing job I did at cutting my own hair.

So true. I actually let someone cut my hair in a salon one time and they totally messed up my bangs. The hairdresser was complementing me on my haircut and color. I never told him I did it myself, but I for sure never went back to the salon after that.

I must've seen your video like 20 times right now. When I used it to cut my own hair. You definitely make it easier than what it is for a beginner. The weirdest part was handling my hands and the scissors trying to mimic your steps. Either way. I figured it out. And your video was a good referenced point. I'm sorry but how exactly are you cutting with the scissors? Are you using the tip of the scissors? Or just slightly cutting? I have tried a similar technique and managed to chop off my hair!😞 I know it's me not knowing how to angle my fingers and scissors, your just a pro with fabulous hair!!
