My goal has been to use up my stash of DIY supplies, especially my fabric stash. So, I made a ghost garland using a piece of white cotton fabric, dipped in liquid starch. I draped them over a ping pong ball sitting on top of a champagne flute (covered in plastic wrap. I also added orange pom pom pumpkins!

I like the idea of decorating for fall in a stand out way with little touches of hidden horrors. Like a beautiful bouquet of autumn flowers and on a close up look one of the flower centers is an eye or a spiders can be seen inside the bouquet. Loved all the craft ideas. Simple & spooktacular.

Instead of using glue, get a big jug of liquid starch (in the laundry detergent section at any grocery store) and mix it with some water and then dip the cheesecloth in it, wring it out and put over a balloon, just as you did. The starch will stiffen overnight and work very nicely. Plus, it's a lot less money than endless bottles of glue!

For the blood dripped candle you can also use a red crayon 🖍️. Also black or green would be a fun color to use if you didn’t want that bloody esque look.

Coming from a country that has only tended to go for Christmas decorations I find the American penchant for seasonal decor changes a trifle bemusing. My lack of changes also reflects my lack of storage space. However, I feel that the decorated book box would look good on my coffee table year round and I love the spider web branch.

The ghosts were cute. I would have put battery lights inside them to light up at night and glow. Also you can buy pipe cleaner spiders which would have looked great on your spider webs.

I love the spider web it doesn't have to be perfect or symmetrical cuz spiderwebs aren't perfect. My next favorite is the book. I made one years ago as a prop using felt, hotglue, and clay. I put it over a notebook but a wooden or craft box would be so cute too.
