These hands are very reminiscent of the 1946 French movie version of Beauty and the Beast. It was by Jean Cocteau, called La Belle et la Bette. (Not the modern French version of the story.) In that Black and White movie, there are hands coming out of the walls holding candelabras, moving the candles as Belle walks through the halls. It's very surreal, creepy, and wonderful!! I highly recommend people check it out!

Very nice work. I've debated trying to do something like this with making a plaster hand but this seems like a simpler idea.

I love these so much. You did amazing. I think it's my favourite project that I want to try because it is hard to find them exactly the way I want and yes postage outside of Australia is too expensive!

Absolutely fantastic idea! For the smoke and hand parts, instead of purple, I would have used silver highlight after using a black gloss, and then placed them at both sides of a scrying mirror. The way you designed and painted this is beautiful. Well done!

Definitely cooler than the inspiration ones. I am quite certain, I can't live the rest of my life without some of these in my life. When my fiancee asks about them, I'll be sure to let him know whose fault it is. LOL

Love the hands, the colours all work really well together. I had made some bespoke handles for a cupboard, decorative square frames with a butterfly then a decorative knob in the middle. The cupboard is decorated with a tree sticker which has a branch going across the 2 doors and a bunch of butterflies and cherry blossoms on it.

You might want to try a small drill bit for that, but if they are really small it might be tricky!
