Thanks, now I see how I can turn nightstands into file cabinets as long as the drawers are deep enough.

Do you drill a hole all the way through on the back side as well or just a partial hole?
@TerryElisabeth Жыл бұрын
I drilled all the way through on both sides. But technically you don't have to drill all the way through on one side. I hope that helps! ♥️

Don't you need holes on the other side of cabinet to make sure the rods stay up ?

Yep! See timestamps 1:37 & 1:47 😊

hi...how have the drawers held up? As paper can be very heavy. If its a well made desk I will bet you are good. A not so well made desk could have issues holding weight. great video! Thanks for making it!

Thank YOU! It help up very well. Many tend to keep more files than they really need. With my system, the drawers would never get too heavy anyway 😊

If the sides of my drawer are not tall enough so the bars must go from front to back, do I drill only a partial hole for the front of the drawer and full hole in the back? (So I don't see the hole when it is closed)
@TerryElisabeth Жыл бұрын
I would! Then, I would add E6000 to the front holes so the rods don't slip out. To prevent your drill from going all the way through the front, you could measure the depth and put a piece of painter's tape on your drill at half that depth so you'll know when to stop drilling. Let me know how it goes!
