I ALSO DEHYDRAYE RED BEETS AND GOLDEN BEETS AND GRIND THEM INTO A POWDER WORKS LIKE A CHARM💕 LOVE YOU. MS. YAYA ! I'M STARTING A SKINCARE LINE WITH AND FOR MY GREAT GRANDDAUGHTERS. You must steep for 48 hours amd use more. The leaves will Give you the color without the granuals being part of your butter. Lots of leaves will give very deep color. The herbal properties are amazing.

What do you steep in? Oil?
@shayelea2 жыл бұрын
If you want a truly vibrant and not cloudy ruby colored oil, alkanet root works beautifully. You don’t need to grind it, it will infuse very well just as chunks. You can heat it, or just put it in a jar for a few hours. I don’t know if you’ll get a deep red simply because the butter adds so much white, but it’s definitely more vibrant than the hibiscus.

Wow thank you so much! I will definitely look into it and give it a try. 😊💜

Consider beet root powder. I'm using that in this formulation with the hibiscus.
@YayaDIYCreations2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the suggestion! I have beet root powder, so I will give it a try. The problem is, most herbs are water-soluble. This means you cannot extract the color with oil, only water. It’s difficult to naturally color body butters without water and mica. 😊💜

If your looking for a natural color with medicinal properties, try dried safflower strands with the hibiscus. I use it to make yellow pickled radish. I think a mix of the two it would have a stronger color.

Try blending a bit of finely ground hibiscus powder into the butter when whipping. Maybe blend a bit of arrowroot with it and it may give the color you want.

That’s funny. I was just researching poppy seed oil these past two weeks. I thought about it when I made a poppyseed cake. There are so many yummy oils out there people do not talk about. Butterfly pea for blue or purple? That might turn when whipped as well. I would love varied DIYs. Bring it on.

I'd like to see more thing's that actually benefit your skin, and increases collagen productions. Night time serums, and creams. Leave in hair conditioners, and detanglers. Shampoo, and conditioner bars. Anything, but body butters! I will watch regardless, but I'm done with beginner diy's.

I follow the directions of the recipe but minds came out creamy not the fluffy adding a small amount of water help keeps the color truly red mixed with the oils plus with the shea butter this is how minds turn out....But Ima keep going for the fluffy maybe I'll get it next time...🙂
@YayaDIYCreationsАй бұрын
@@lisaa.1126 Hi, yes this probably happened because of the added water. Adding water and an emulsifier changes the formula and texture completely. It’s really hard to recreate the natural fluffiness of natural, raw butters. They are harder to color or get a vivid color naturally. Thanks for sharing. 💜
