This is a Hobie Mast Receiver. It can be broken at the bottom of the base where it sits on a nipple of the hull , yes I seen it happen with my friends Revo. My advice is to remove the receiver and apply 4-5 wraps of electric tape to reinforce that weak link on the bottom of the receiver shaft for peace of mind or buy a spare for emergency. Read the review also stated from a buyer named-WingIt 2010.
