Hands down!!! This DIY yougurt deep conditioning treatment is the holy grail of deep conditioning and detangling hair care regimens. I've tried it today and love the results Naptural85!! My hair was so moisturized , shiny full of body too. Love it and it will definitely be a staple DIY hair product in my collections of hair goodies. I have found all of your tutorials on caring for the natural hair to be very informative and accurate. Thanks again and keep posting on youtube!!!!

I tried this about four days ago. I have multi-textured, very thick and curly natural hair that tangles if I think about it too hard :P I was super busy over last week, and so I had my hair in a very sloppy bun for several days. When I took it out to try this, I noticed it was even locking in places. The entire process took me about 45 minutes (10 to coat my hair, 25 to let it set, and 10 in the shower) and when it was all over I didn't even have to comb my hair! Keeping moisturized and in protective styles at night has kept it very well detangled in the couple days since. The whole recipe is far less expensive and way more effective than a lot of high quality conditioners like the Oyin Handmade or the Carols Daughter. The yogurt was only a couple dollars and I already had the vinegar and lavender. Overall very pleased and excited for this to become a regular routine.

I want to thank you for this recipe. I have protein sensitive hair but I decided to give it a try. I mixed the greek yogurt with apple cider vinegar, rosemary oil and peppermint oil; I didn't have lavender oil. After 15 minutes of the mix being in my hair, I felt my hair starting to get hard. I was like 'Aww Lawd' I hurried to wash it off and took out my moisturizing cond. but didn't need it. My hair was so soft and supple and shiny. I will continue use this treatment.

Thank you so much for this recipe. My hair was so dry, brittle and shedding so bad. I put this conditioner on it....2 days later and still so shiny, moisturized and hardly any shedding. My twist out has never looked so good and detangling was so much faster than I'm used to. Thank you!

I used to do this but I covered all of my hair and scalp. The yogurt exfoliates dead skin cells on your scalp and moisturizes it as well so it is great for people with dandruff. I am going to start doing this again!😃❤

this was a miracle treatment for my hair. transitioning from locs so hair was knotty, tangled, and continues to grow in spiral wrapped pattern because its been trained to do so. ends were very ragged however this treatment brought life back to my hair. hair shaft is so smooth, hair is lite and fluffy almost like cotton. only suggestion is that if your hair is very tangled you might want to comb through prior to the treatment as finger tangling in the shower didn't work to well for me. i followed up with the shea butter mix and hair is super soft. thanks for sharing this amazing recipe.

This treatment was great. My hair was detangled as soon as I got out of the shower. I didn't even have to use a comb, which never happens....I used honey instead of Lavendar Essential Oil because no stores around me sold it. I will be using this conditioner again in two weeks after taking out my mini braids. Thank you for sharing this great treatment with all your youtubers. We appreciate it.

So I tried this because I hate de-tangling. I didn't add any essential oil, the smell didn't bother me. I will be using this for the rest of my life. Seriously. I usually shed a baby wookie when I detangle my hair. I was used to all that shedding. But this! Oh my goodness... I shed such a small amount of hair, I could not believe it. Thanks for sharing, this one was truly a gem.

Just tried this DC method. I used rosemary oil bc that's what I had instead of the lavender. As I was rinsing the DC out I kept feeling like I had product in my hair but it was just bc my hair was so soft. The shock with regular conditioner only made it feel even better....this will go into my regime at least once a month. Thank you!

Can you guess at what I did wrong? I tried the Greek yogurt deep conditioner on my daughter's hair and did NOT have the same results as you - in fact it had the opposite effect. Greek yogurt is also great as a Tumeric mask to brighten your face and help heal acne prone skin as well: 5g Tumeric powder 10g rice flour (for oily/acne prone skin. You can use ground oats or oat flour dry skin) 45g Greek yogurt Mix till it forms a paste. Apply to face (not eyebrows) Leave on for 20 mins . Rinse off Face should be smoother and brighter after a few uses. Hope this helps!

i tried it! At first I hated it because when I tried to comb my hair out in the shower. It did NOT detangle easily and I pulled out more hair than usual. But 2 weeks later, I kept noticing that my hair has been continuously moisturized and feels stronger than ever. The only regimen change is the greek yogurt. Thus, it really works!! I'm definitely keeping this as a deep treatment!!

A note to people with somewhat fine hair - this conditioner is quite rich in protein as Naptural85 said so it would be advisable to do a moisturising dc afterwards. I did this treatment once and didn't do a moisturising dc afterwards and I noticed more breakage. But then again, I put in mini twists after doing this and I used a gel with proteins so maybe it was all too much. Whatever the case though, I'd err on the side of caution and do a moisturising dc since its always beneficial to the hair

Sorry if I confused you. What I'm trying to say is that this treatment naptural85 did contains lots of protein so its more of a protein treatment than a moisture (i.e. water based) treatment. You want to have a balance of both so if you do this one, finish up with a treatment that does NOT include proteins.

Wow, I have always been afraid to make my own conditioner and stuff because I have to use food. But I think I will try it. I need moisture really badly. I have cancer and I have been on chemo pills for about a month. It makes me very fatigued and too lazy to moisturize my hair. My hair has gotten longer and that makes me even more lazy to moisture it and a little harder to manage. So this is a nice deep conditioner that will do the job in one shot. Thanks I will definitely try it.

I have an idea that would prevent the smell from being trapped in the back of your scalp. Instead you could put 2 sections on each side and use two conditioning caps over the two sections and put a hair tie on top of the conditioning cap, this way you can condition more of the hair and ensure none of the yogurt touches your scalp
