I really love your DIY's. My mom made your DIY avocado hair mask last year in January. She had some leftover and asked if I wanted to use it. So I did. I remember the next day how shocked I was, to see my hair so healthy and shiny! The last time I remember my hair so shiny was back in the early 90's, using the Gliss Kur Hair Mask. But it was 100x less stronger than this homemade hair mask. I noticed after a month that my hair in the back grew longer. At that point, the back of my hair has not been growing longer for a very long time. Many thanks all the way from Europe 😊🇳🇱

I made this a couple of weeks ago and WOW! My curls were poppin and my curl pattern has never been so defined! My hair had incredible slip and it was SO much easier to detangle. Usually, I have to moisturize my hair every day, but with this, my hair was still so moisturized that I only had to do it about every three days. The smell didn't bother me much, I mostly smelled banana, which I did not mind at all :D Thank you so much for this idea!

Omg omg I am so excited about this product methi powder. I did the big chop on my hair 9 months ago but was lazy to take care of my hair, so it just grew into a NAPPY 4C iron sponge feel type mess. But when I stretched my hair I noticed it grew quite a bit which I was shocked, so I thought if I start taking care of it it should grow longer and healthier. Tried a few DIY and followed a few KZbin steps but didn't notice much of a difference, till I put methi powder in my hair and omg omg I am SOOOOOLD. My nappy 4z hair has now got defined curls I couldn't believe it. I am so happy I took your advice and discovered this product, I am so amazed at the instant difference. Like, shared and subscribed.

Fenugreek adds a TON of slip to this conditioner omg I'm so glad I found this video! I had bought some from my local Indian store for a (failed) hair growth oil and wondered what to do with the rest of the Fenugreek powder. I mixed 8 tbs of avocado oil and 8 tbs of coconut oil because I didn't have enough avocado oil to make a cup. Also I wished I had used my blender instead of my hand held mixer because it was very clumpy but I did have more than enough for my conditioner.

Fenugreek has tons of slip and since I got the seeds I pour water in a jar and put about a 1/2-1 cup of fenugreek . After a few days I get a gel or a slippery liquid that I pour into my henna or use in a DC,, 1 Problem no matter where I go someone some random person will say "I smell maple syrup, who had pancakes today"... lol Of course I stay quiet and smile to myself cuz I cant smell it and my hair loves it,,, so who cares if I smell like maple syrup.... lolol

Good evening my friend!! Oh I love your bun, so cute...haha it's ok to make up words I do it all the time-mah mime-mah, lol!! This mixture looks great, Fenugreek powder something new to add the my "Hair To Do N Try" list...you know about an hour ago I got home but before coming home I took a banana from my sister n law( her kids weren't eating it, lol!) and I thought of your banana light protein treatment and I thought about eating it, it could be my once a year banana lol but since I eat a banana maybe once every couple years and when I do eat it I can only handle 1 bite, the taste is too powerful for me.... I told you I was a picky eater, and it's late and I feel like I'm rambling, so moving on lol! Aint nothing wrong with maple syrup, I thought you were gonna say the Fenugreek smelt like sour feet, or yucky Liquorice (man how do you spell liquorish)... but anyhow I can handle a sweet maple syrup scent lol! Great video, I love how crisp and clean and bright everything always is! I really have to give all these healthy hair mixtures a try, I haven't been big on putting foods in my hair, while being on my healthy hair journey but better to feed my hair then in my belly, lol!! Hey Naptural85. I just applied the deep conditioner. Now I am sitting and letting it soak. I love middle eastern foods so I didn't mind the smell. I am transitioning so my new growth loved it from the moment of application. I actually had trouble telling my curl type prior to this and it had been about 7 months since I had had a relaxer. After application my curls are happy so it'll be easier for me to track my progress. I'm okay with the awkward look of transitioning as I have done it previously due to pregnancy. I had to make two batches as the first batch was too liquidity for me to handle so I decreased the aloe vera by 1/2 a cup. I also worked backwards pureeing the avocado and banana together then adding the methi powder and slowly incorporating the aloe vera juice. I didn't have a fine strainer so I used a clean sock. Lol. It was laborious but I am sure will be well worth it. I also recommend sectioning the hair in 6th. I halved one side of my head and it became tangled and I ended up pulling a small bit out to my frustration. The other side I put in thirds and kept it taught, applied the mixture from the roots to ends and it works perfectly. I was able to detangleuch easier with fingers and my natural hair soaked it right up. I didn't have a shower cap so I improvised using a plastic bag and tied it at the based of my head. I will post another comment once I rinse. But I think this is just what my hair needed since I had not deep conditioned in some time.

I tried the deep conditioner in my hair today. I I made the conditioner last night and let it sleep in the refrigerator overnight. I followed your instructions. I even strained it twice. I found it to be a little too runny last night but this morning it seems like it got a little thicker. You were right about the maple smell so when I put it in my hair I made sure to wear gloves. The smell's not too overpowering but it can get on your nerves. I did like you said and after I did the deep condition, I rinsed with my regular conditioner to help with the scent. My hair still has a maple scent. but like I said it's not too overpowering. My hair felt like normal. I did untangle a bit. I kind of felt like it straightened my hair a little bit. I don't know that it did a great job but then again this was my first time. my reason for trying this to see if it would help stop the breakage. I may try it one more time. what might stop me is even though I strained the condition or twice, there were still little pieces of mixture in my hair. When I rinsed my hair I had to look through my hair carefully. I used my conditioner to help get some of those mixture pieces out. However, even when I was done rinsing my hair, there was still a few pieces. They were very tiny, like if you had dandruff but green, LOL. Again, I'm a give it one more try....we'll see.

Overripe, Whit. Overripe. Also, a trick I use to get a lingering scent off my hands is to scrub my hands with coarse salt and dish liquid. Rinse and repeat. Lotion/Oil/Body Butter to nourish the skin afterwards.

I'll definitely be trying this out thanks Whit! I've been needing vegan hair stuff, everything has animal in it. I have previously tried coconut milk, avocado and banana which works very nicely so hopefully this will work well too. xx

I read about 6 months back that aloe vera and fenugreek combo is great for scalp dryness. One day I will try this.

This brings back memories. I used to drink fenugreek tea while nursing and I smelled like pancakes all the time. Didn't know the stuff was good for hair too. Cool! BTW I am digging that jacket. Pray tell where did you purchase it?

Will definitely try this hair mask as my hair is shredding and falling out in handful every time I touch it. It's been like this since I got COVID . It's very dry , gone super thin and just depresses me when I see the hair in My hands and in the shower 😭😭😭

Hi Whitney, I love your videos. they're very informative and to the point. I love that you don't constantly repeat the same thing, thank you also your hair and Olivia's hair is so beautiful, strong, shinny and healthy. Now, my question, In one of your videos you stated, you had high porosity hair. Unfortunately, I don't, I have low porosity hair. Therefore, I was wondering if you have any suggestions, recommendations and/or thoughts as to how I could obtain strong, shinny, and healthy hair. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. Angela
