I would never have thought to use the track for barn style door as a support. Love that it's open. Get funky baskets to slip under if need extra storage for blanket throws etc. Can remove the cushion and pillows and use it to display Christmas tree in windows.

You can buy those hairpin legs from Amazon and several other retailers...just in case anyone is wondering where they can buy them or what they are called. Super cute bench! Well done!

Tip! Get a second table, use two of those legs to place in the middle of the bench, front and back, to prevent the planks from bending. It will otherwise start to bend in the middle and it looks far to nice and cosy as a seating area for it to start "drooping"!! 👍🏽 btw, good work you guys and thanks for the diy clip 😀

i love it. my husband is planning on making a dresser for us the one we have is too big n just takes up too much space we're trying to work w what we have already so we dont have to buy anything else but the wood just use like the hardware for drawers etc. we dont want to buy one so hes going to make one n im excited for it i hope im as happy as u r w ur new bench. ur husband did an excellent job loved how yall worked and made the decisions together

Great job!! You could always cover the front and use the underneath as storage, only if you need storage but if I remember correctly your house is large enough you don't need extra storage.

my DIY project: I wanted to have a "crazy" wall, but I figured, that i couldn't afford a photo-wallpaper (is that what it's called in english?) or any interesting wallpaper, so I bought one big bucket of dark blue wall-paint, covered parts of the wall with masking tape in the shapes of three trees without leaves and painted over it. (note: I was 15, did not have any ladder or help and I'm pretty short; so I moved my desk around all the time and climbed up and down, it took a whole day ;D). It already looked very nice, but I wanted to have more details, so I bought a tiny bucket of white paint, took a little paint brush and made the trees look more realistic. All in all I'm very happy with the result and it was really inexpensive. About 40€ in total.

We are thinking about making our own dining room table with bench for the chairs along the sides and two standing chairs for the ends. I am really excited about it because we will probably spend about $200 for it, and a table the size we want that has the same color and design is roughly 2 grand.
