So if I'm understanding correctly, the front and rear jobs appear to be pretty much the same. Except I'll need the special tool to TURN the rear piston open, as opposed to just being able to push it back like the front, yes? I've done my own front brakes on my 2013, but I've never done a rear brake job; so this video was a huge help. Thanks so much for posting!

Thanks guys for this video I have a 2012 V6 and looking to do the brakes myself and this will help a lot and will save me a lot of money doing it myself. I’m looking to replace the shocks and struts but was thinking about lowering it I’m looking at ordering some kyb shocks and struts I’m not looking to spend a lot of money just looking for factory reliability and to lower the car and I found out that TEIN makes a set of lowering springs for my car do you think I should be good with that set up ? I have seen you can use aftermarket springs with factory replacement struts and shocks. I already have new strut mounts because those are bad and need replaced

There is a tool you can buy, it's square and each side is a different size that pertains to your year for the rear cylinder compress/turn I bought it at Advance Auto its better than having to get the tool kit just tell the parts guy what you need it for I think it was like 12 bucks at least you'll always have it with your tools good video you may want to add brake bleeding and master cylinder filling to help more. Thank you love the mentioning of how important it was to clean the rotor afterwards to avoid warpage

so are the fronts what stop the vehicle when driving or is it the rears? or both? imma replace mine and my buddies. also we both have a lurching sensation when having to brake decently to heavily.

they work together to stop the car. the ebrake just does the rears alone.

Did anyone notice that if you are replacing the slider clips that there is “right” and a “left” (so to speak) clip? I had a hell of a time getting the pads in until I realized I had the clips oriented incorrectly.

is it normal for the brakes to squeak a little bit as you brake if they are new? asking for a friend. just did his last night. also we overtightened one of the sleaves for the 12mm and so its spinning freely but it feels snug, would he be good?

@@automafiaracing you sure the rears dont get used at all? Literally after the front was replaced, we tried listening to his car and i got out and when he passes me outside of his car, its a constant squeaking from his rear wheel. Just as he drives and as he brakes. We even pulled the ebrake hard at 25 mph just to see how bad his rears were and it was not slowing down much at all.

I’ve swapped pads and rotors at least 4 times each calipers once hoses once and it always happens about 3 weeks to 2 months after swap… what can be causin this one pad to wear uneven.70k mikes but this has been happening since 30k curious if anyone has any idea at all what to do
