A very in depth video fulfilling every request I asked for I am 80years old and I enjoyed every minute but I am to old to tackle this job many thanks.

Thanks for sharing. I've changed mine today. A M8 bolt fits the cam hole nicely and M5 fits fuel pump and crank for locking purposes. Like you I also marked with Tippex just in case. Was a bit worried about your method for undoing crank bolt, but it worked and I still have all my fingers/limbs. Citroen service manual says belt should be changed every 100,000 miles. Random info online says 150,000.

Very interestig way to open the crankshaft pulley!

Did it on the exact same engine last summer. It is not difficult but it took me some time to gather the courage to do it.

Can you please send me some of the gathered courage?

Cristian Klein well, I don’t know what to say, apart from that it wasn’t difficult, and it’s 50 k since it did the job. If you have the tools just do it.

Alrighty. I just lost my "timing belt" virginity. The job was pretty complex and scary. I thought I could avoid having the engine "hanging in the air". Aaaaa! 😁 Anyway, I did it, the engine works and I feel more empowered than ever. The video was invaluable. If you or the video poster ever come to south of Sweden, please allow me to invite you to a drink.

Guddu Pappu, What interval should the timing belt be replaced for the DV6 engine like yours and also mine? Thank you!
@guddupappu35824 жыл бұрын
according to peugeot manual 100,000 miles or 10 years what ever comes first. I changed mine after 110,000 miles. Once you replace the Original one then you need to replace every 60,000 miles

Hi, I can guess may be during the work machanic accidentally scratched the crankshaft sprocket (magnetic strip on the sprocket) that can cause the vibration
