Thanks for making it simple. Lots of videos end up with the skirt front having an angle seam instead of getting the front flat. Your way is best for a dress skirt! TKS!

What if i wanted the skirt to be more flowy? Do you know how to do that as well?
@mariahseamsnice7 жыл бұрын
Lydia Camacho To add flow to a suit fabric like the one I'm using, using the method I'm showing, I would keep the skirt longer once its sewn to add some flow, I can imagine a more flowy look using this method in knit palazzo pants.(keeping it long) The knit fabric should add more flow. :-)

So nicely done. Clear instructions to follow; was never sure where to start pining or sewing from once you got the material in the skirt position; I always wondered do you start at tgd very top of the curve or further up. I noticed that the job was made a lot easier to do because you have stripes on the material so it was easier to follow once you start sewing. If there's no lines how far do/can you go up after the curve.

I am trying this now. I am attempting to turn a pair of sweat pants into a skirt for my mom. She needs adaptive clothing because she lost the use of one her hands so I thought a pull on skirt might work for her. I have looked at several videos and yours is hands down the easiest and most comprehensive. Thank you thank you thank you.

Did you cut off the bottoms of the legs to make the skirt shorter?
@mariahseamsnice7 жыл бұрын
emie395 Yes. After you sew your pants into a skirt, you'll cut it to your desired length. :-) To make it easy, You could use your favorite skirt and place it on top of the skirt you just made, add about an inch at the end of your new skirt for hemming, cut, hem, then you'll have a cute skirt! :-)
