Great video. Thank you for a step by step, easily repeatable, guide to building an espresso cart. I will definitely be using this as a guide for my home workstation.

Can you please tell me the inside dimension of the frame that the plywood top connects to? I'm interested in dropping in an induction cooktop and would like to know how big the cooktop can be. Great job on a complex hack. Thanks!
@decentespresso2 жыл бұрын
The frame is from the Ikea brand "BROR trolley" and the table top dimensions are 840x540mm
@toddschulke2392 жыл бұрын
@@decentespresso Those are the dimensions of the wood correct? The top sits on a metal lip I believe. I'm interested in the distance between the inner edges of the metal lip. In other words, what is the largest hole that could be cut in the wood top. Thanks again!

Any ideas for portable refrigeration for milk? Or, are you using that fancy ultra-pasteurized European milk that doesn't need refrigeration?
@decentespressotech2 жыл бұрын
Usually I buy a bag of ice, and keep the milk in a coleman cooler, covered with ice. That passes health & safety, and it's cheap and simple.

Great video. Was wondering why you don’t use the plum kit with the pressure from the flow jet instead of the catering kit? Also is the machine NSF certified?
@decentespresso3 жыл бұрын
You're right, I could, but usually I use city-water for the pitcher rinser, and high-quality spring water, for making espresso. That's why I keep them separate. NSF: no.

What brand of espresso machine and grinder you used for this project? Ca. they be used for light commercial use

We used the DE1 espresso machine and a Niche grinder.
@WeBuild4Life4 жыл бұрын
So you specifically mention you used short screws when screwing in the power strip to the table, but you screwed everything else into the bottom as well, no? Is the catering kit held in via suction? What about the flo-jet?
@decentespresso4 жыл бұрын
all with short screws. But the replacement top that we sell is a lot thicker than the IKEA one, so the screw length is less of a worry.

what would be the possibility that these could be custom made or mass produced for first timers to purchase in order to get started??

It's very expensive for us to ship a pre-made cart, on the order of USD$1000, because it's so heavy and large. That's why we're not offering it at the moment.
@decentespresso5 жыл бұрын
You can buy a pre-cut and pre-varnished top from us, and then the rest of the work is pretty easy. See decentespresso.com/coffeecart

Could the cart work for a two group handle machine. Which is 35kg and 20inches wide
@decentespresso4 жыл бұрын
Yes, we make a two group version of the cart, with the wider IKEA BROR model decentespresso.com/coffeecart

@@decentespresso hi how do you get the wheels on to the bigger one as they dont come with.. Thanks for getting back to me
@decentespresso4 жыл бұрын
@@rollinontwentytwos You have to buy the smaller BROR, and swap both the wheels and the legs. The small BROR legs are compatible with the bigger bror table. Then you build the smaller bror table without wheels and use it for something else.
@decentespresso4 жыл бұрын
@@rollinontwentytwos At 0:33 into this video you can see that this is what I did, with the smaller bror tablet in the back of the room without wheels: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4HCf6Snfq-VgtE&feature=emb_logo

You'll need to forgive the Italians, as "expresso" is the correct spelling in Latin, which the French, Spanish and Portuguese use. Italian changed the X to S. As I live in France, that's why I spell it that way. :-D
